thanks everyone! just had a chat through what i'm doing with my mum and it almost sounds too simple but as it is meant to be to a multi-ethnic group in a deprived area without great english i think that is a good thing! needs to be understandable with no jargon! gonna print it in the next half hour, save it to my memory stick, get the bits i need together and go to bed - the other stuff i can read on the train! train at 9.15 and need to get ticket so i'll need to leave at 9, so up by 7 i think! early for me.
i will try and get online and let you know how i've done but i won't have my laptop with me as i want to travel light! interview at 3.30pm for the good vibes/thoughts but i'm going early so i can look around the area i'd be working in with a contact who works there!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Best of luck Rach for tomorrow. With the Cystic Fibrosis, the CF Trust which have a website also have a support line which may be helpful to those affected by what is happening with the person who is in hospital. I lost my best friend when I was 13 years old to CF and the trust helped the school a lot with how best to deal with both discussing the horrible illness it is with students to sadly when she passed away. Wishing your friend the best of luck in her recovery this time, I remember how much time my friend spent in and out of hospital, I used to go in to see her most days, was never easy.
Vanilla fingers crossed for your DS, I was also told that with my oldest by the optician, thankfully he did have the improvement needed by the next appointment, fingers crossed your DS shows the same improvement.
Gosh I hate Thursdays, one mad dash. Always something crops up during the day which needs dealing with then after 2pm it's just one big mad dash. Boys were being very naughty at swimming which of course wound me up! One more day until the weekend, oh how I like the weekends, no mad school dash!
Did have some good news today, someone I spoke to on Tuesday who is involved a lot with a few companies we basically got told to naff off from when it came to raffle prizes for the charity night we're running, has been in touch with them and managed to get about £600 worth of prizes so far. I could kiss him!!!
Right morning stuff to get sorted, just remembered after sorting uniforms that both schools are having a non uniform day, bah, now that's going to cause issues, I can almost bet my kids will want to go in their uniform, they aren't keen on change at the best of times. I'm off to bed after that, will post my extras for tomorrow list first which so far looks something like this
Usual morning and night time routine stuff, dailies inc vacuum through downstairs, boys rooms list
Find a nice box for CDs save me buying one
Call hospital to cancel DPs physio
Unpack/sort through a box in DS1s room and DS2s room - little and often!
Sort through the music CDs to go in the box
Tidy kitchen and clean cupboard doors, noticed they aren't gleaming
Lights and darks loads of washing
Wipe finger marks from the TV cabinet, yuk
Clean breakfast bar in the utility
Clean stools in utility
Clean floor in utility
Another 15 minutes paperwork mission
Ring Npower and see if I can negotiate payments for outstanding billOne day I might be more organised...........

Evening everyone.
I'm ok - thanks for noticing i was missing Shell - just really busy as always.
Good luck for tomorrow Rach. Will pause while doing my paperwork tomorrow after work and think of you.
Well - my week has been interesting. Can't remember what i last said but, in summary- inspection went well at school - watched x2 and both were ok
- bought a new car - ILs giving us 1000 towards it.
- DH thinks he has sold my car.
- Organised for FIL to drive the car up for us next weekend, so will be doing a bit of money sorting at the weekend
- visited parents - dad is poorly- he has cellulitis infection in his feet, and needs to have an operation on his feet which may involve a part amputation, and will definitely be a minimum of 2 weeks in hospital and will probably fall between xmas and new year when we are supposed to be away
- 2 xmas pressies bought, plus one for charlie on behalf of my parents.
- work meeting had with my union rep, and i made my point without crying and got a sort of apology
- was persuaded by the union rep to ask for a renogotiation of my management point so i may not need to relinquish 130 per month of salary, plus, as it hasn't actually been paid since september i should get some back pay.
- seem to be on top of things at work at least
- have been having a bit of a rough time of it with the kids but that does not seem unusual as everyone is.
so, not sure how to feel this week, but what the heck - i think i will go for excited as a week closer to chrimbo and getting a new car this month. Crap will continue to happen so all i can do is get on with it and have some positive mental attitude and try to respond as i would have done probably 5 years ago when i felt happier with my lot.
anyway, i have sewn one pair of trousers so i can wear them with my comfier boots tomorrow. One day till the weekend. Woohoo.
Hugs all round.
Michelle, x0 -
Michelle, what a time of it, big hugs to you and your Dad too. I do admire your attitude however. Hope your Dad is better soon. Well done for trying to get somewhere with work and keeping your cool. One thing I will say is shhhhhhhhh stop reminding me it is getting closer to Christmas!!!One day I might be more organised...........
