hello all
well, my 2 hours out turned into almost 6 as friend who is nearly 8 months pregnant had to go and have blood tests as she had a lot of itching, so o drove her there and waited etc.
i still have so much prep to do for my interview and i just feel emotionally and physically exhausted. i woke up far too early this morning (thinking about interview) and have still done no prep today as been out all day. after my friend / friend's dad dying this week a girl from church is critically ill in hospital - she is only 24but has cystic fibrosis, so i am trying to support others through that too.
so i am going to have an hours lie down i think then attack the prep, i reckon i'll get stuff done in a couple of hours once i knuckle down. then i will have a bath and have a much earlier night. flying can wait til i'm back on sunday, though i do need to pack for the weekend.

Hello everyone!
Well, I had a bit of unexpected time today, so I thought I'd start today rather than Monday. I also timed things (rather anal, I know!), because I don't really know how long things take, and assume things will take hours when they don't.
Thursday - Bathrooms and Study Day
Level One
[strike] Clean bath, toilet and sink (try an old toothbrush on the taps, works a treat!)[/strike] 18 min
Level Two
Clear desk already clear of my stuff/won't touch DH's
[strike] Dust desk and PC, make sure you clean that keyboard and mouse [/strike] and 'phone 8 min
[strike] Vacuum floors in these rooms, mop if hard floors[/strike] 14 min
Level Three
Wipe down tiles
[strike] Spend 10 minutes making any calls you have been putting off or forgotten [/strike] 30 sec
Clear out any empty bottles etc from bathroom
Extra Mission Tasks - choose any one or more of- Organise bathroom toiletries, helps you see what you have and don't need to buy!
- 15 minute paperwork sorting
- Find somewhere to store whatever seems to just get dumped (in any room if that's gloves, toothbrushes, pencils, magazines)
- Sort through towels, are they where they should be? Any that should be rags by now because that is what they resemble?
- Clean windows and sills in these rooms
Wash up last night's stuffand this morning's breakfast stuff 9 min
Empty bags and put stuff away in bedroom 48 min
Put drying up away, cook/eat lunch, wash up lunch stuff 55 min
Well, what an eye opener. It really doesn't take that long does it? Vacuuming particularly takes much less time than I thought, but the bedroom sorting I thought would only take 10 minutes!
Definitely doable when I come in from work. Part of me wants to work through what I haven't done, but I will just concentrate on Friday's stuff tomorrow! Off to be in a show now, but have a great sense of achievement.
Thanks everyone
rumbly x

Evening all.
Feeling happier the straighter things get. It was great to have tea cooking so early and kids were starving so full tummies now. Also made a cake - when the kitchen is straight I feel more like cooking.
Rumblytum it still amazes me how much I can do if somebody sets a 30 minute challenge like most things in life putting off housework can be more effort than doing it.
Emm I am happy for your DD1 getting a job, I did not know you had a big one, how many years is your gap?
Sis popping in soon for a cuppa so think I'll tidy the kitchen whilst the kids are playing nicely and maybe start the study by sorting the book cupboard - there are heaps in there that are either forgotten or not needed anymore. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Nicki there you are, Hellooooooooo
Rach ((((((((((hugs))))))))) hope your friend is ok, that's not good re the itching I've heard of that before.
Rumbly just noticed your sig. Biiiiig round of applause to you, you're doing amazing :T
The yorkshires were amazing, sorry to make you hungry G&B. Got two extra plates made up for tomorrow too (I always make too much  ) so that's tomorrows meals for two people a least. Gonna take littleys friend home shortly then nip down to Asda, OH has got a kitchen fitting job on starting tomorrow and he asked me to get him some sarnie stuff I didn't mind as I was going for Coffee anyway. I love going to Asda at night, in the dark lol
Gonna go and clear up the kitchen a bit now then get going

Hello all! Well I got home at 6am, and managed to do all the list, most of my dailies and get an hours walkies in, all before 8.30.
Am I weird in that I love the smell of bleach?

I know exactly what you mean likkle...my bum took an hour to defrost after walkies! I'd sit on my hot water bottle, if I wasn't afraid of bursting it!!
Ooh my nice clean bed was lovely to get into after all my hard work, although I couldn't get to sleep for another hour or so

Evening everyone!
You'll have to excuse my whispering - after a week of full days of supply this week, topped off with music as the last lesson of the day, I now have no voice left! Hope it returns tomorrow morning, cos I'm due to supply with a Year 1 class all morning, and I enjoy reading stories to the littlies. Serena have you managed to contact any supply agencies yet?
Well, I'm embarassed to say, that I still haven't done any flying, and the flat is starting to look in a bit of a mess. My sheets were changed on Sunday, so don't have to do them til Sunday this week, but everything else is long overdue.
Sorry to hear that you're having such a tough time of it lately Rach - make sure that you have someone that looks after you as well as you're looking after everyone else, as it's easy to forget about yourself when you're supporting others. Also, good luck for tomorrow.
Definitely agree with those who posted about mouthwash, that both listerine and corsodyl are rank! My teeth were discoloured and my dentist refused to give me a scale and polish on the NHS as she said that it was just cosmetic, despite the hospital (prescribed when I had my wisdom teeth out) saying that they should do one at my next check up. I think that the mouthwash I usually use (need to buy some more for my throat) is the Colgate pink one for sensitive teeth. This doesn't taste too bad, although the bubblegum kids mouthwash is yummy, but probably not strong enough for adult teeth.
Off to dinner at parents tonight, so don't have to cook, which is a relief.
Probably won't be on again tonight, as we usually don't get back til late and I'll be rolling into bed, so hugs and hellos to everyone.

i really need to wake up!!! lay down in bed for half an hour but didn't really help. plan is to do as many half hour slots as i need preparing my presentation for tomorrow, hopefully an hour should do it! i will then get ready for bed and read some stuff if i'm awake enough but i have two hours on the train tomorrow to get that done as well and i've read loads and talked to a lot of people already! considering i talk to hundreds of people each week a little presentation should be fine....
so, 30 minutes then a cuppaMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
