  • Morning all, DD very excited about going to nursery today, will be really nice for her in the run up to Christmas. Slightly worried about how over excited she'll be by then:rotfl: Unfortunately she'll only be there for a week then will need a week off as i got a phone call yesterday to say they had a date for her operation:( She needs surgery every six months so its not a surprise, but i always try and push it to the back of my mind, at least she'll be out in time for Christmas this year:D
Not much done in the way of flying yesterday, did get my washing basket nearly empty though, just a shame its all in my ironing basket instead now:eek:
Just going to finish my brekkie then make a start on some dailies and stuff.:D

Morning all back from the chilly school run.

Finishing yesterday's bits before heading for town. I have lots of invigilating work next week and I don't have one pair of smart troussers (I got by in the summer with skirts).

Plan to do bathroom when DS3 is in the bath later and cull the bath toys.
Desk and study this afternoon if I don't spend too long at the shops

Morning all, blooming cold one here today.

Just done the morning usuals so far. Glad its the bathroom as disinfected the loo (inside and out) yesterday, plus had a good scrub round. Having a woe is me day (I hate them). Just feeling unappreciated I guess. I feel like I spend all day cooking HM foods, cleaning, organising etc and no-one seems to notice. I dont expect a medal or a huge round of applause but a "thanks for doing that" even occasionally would be nice. Anyway will put some music on (maybe the xmas cd) and crack on with it.

    So today looks like this:-

    Flylady task
Make hungarian goulash soup(??) was in slowcooker recipe booklet and sounds "interesting" so thought I'd give it a go. IN AND SMELLS YUM!
    Cheque to bank
Collect parcel from PO Phoned will be redelivered on Saturday
Ironing (half hour should empty basket)
DD1 swimming and DH out at work function so chippy tea:j :j
    Wash shower curtain
    Hoover through
Mop bathroom, kitchen & porch floors
    De-grot porch.
Clear paperwork pile before it gets out of control

Not sure what is happening in the porch, its an add of extention thing so single brick, it does have a radiator but condensation is all over the wall in there. May put the dehumidifier out there again and see if that makes a difference (I didnt think it was:confused: ).

Right coffee, music, flying (in that order)

My mission for today is to "Deep Clean" downstairs today (Living room & Kitchen). I'm going to switch off my computer to avoid any distractions ;) , switch the boogie box on and clean!!

WM on & dishes done. Just had a warm front assessor come to assess my house. I'm having my loft insulated but he said it could take a few months before its done.

I'm highly motivated today and got my list so I'm hoping I can report back that I've actually done something today, see you later peeps!

Shell hugs hun I feel like that so often. My kids are getting better at saying thank you. For me I think I need to make more time to do a little something for myself - ie I have piles of mags I have never found time to read. Try to give yourself a break today (prefereably where the sun is shining on you) xx

Hi Shell - tell them that as they didn't say thank you that tomorrow's dinner will be cheese sandwiches. (None of my children like these, works a treat!) I now have them trained to give me a hug and a kiss, and say thank you that was delicious! OH never, ever says it, and will undoubtedly have dinner chucked over his head one day.

And book yourself a treat of whatever you want - put it in the diary, and enjoy with a clear conscience! Even if it just says '11am-11.30am sit in garden with coffee and biscuit'. dustykitten - for you too!!

I have also found that they really do not see what you have done, so pin up a prominent list, and tell them often exactly what you have done. I remember reading a report that said that people who spent 60% of their time working and 40% talking up what they do, were more favourably viewed, believed to be higher achievers and were often promoted and paid better, so get out there and do a bit of PR!!

I'm leaving the bathroom for tomorrow, as I'm still sneezing and feeling yuck. I may do a little online shopping though for Christmas!!
