Shell I have days like that too, there's nothing worse than not feeling appreciated, grab yourself a cuppa and a biscuit and take 5 minutes time out for yourself x
The chicken's in the oven, the veg is prepped and my dailies are done ... just got to attack the bathroom now, but I'm really struggling, I've walked past it twice - like something you see on a film actually, go towards it then veer off to the side and do something else instead!

Job search - nothing!
Oh and I've mopped all the floors downstairs - go me! :j I suppose I should go and take down the net curtain in the kitchen seeing as the council mans gonna want to be at it - suppose I should take all the brown packing tape off it too - it was keeping out the draughts lol0 -
Morning all
One load of washing out - lovely and sunny but blooming cold!
Glad it's bathroom as I did that anyway before I put the computer on. First I dusted and vacuumed through downstairs (that includes computer desk which is in the hall). Then I finally remembered to do the stairs and had to do the landing again, only did that on Tuesday and it was covered in bits.
Then gave the bathroom and toilet a good clean. I've had vinegar soaked kitchen roll round the taps all morning. Had a scrape at the limescale a while ago and it's coming off but needs longer so I've bandaged them up again;) Stinks of vinegar in there nowNeed to remember to empty the bathroom bin too but I thought I'd wait until the vinegar paper went in and get rid of that as well. Otherwise I'll never get rid of the smell.

Been back up and done the taps. Not perfect (they're about 40 years old so they're never going to be perfect), but much less limescale and shinier.
Emptied vinegar smelling bin.
Just opened a new bottle of mouthwash - Listerine (I usually have Asda stuff but this was a substitute). Should have a government health warning on it. You could strip paint with it. Had to quickly wash my mouth out with plain water. I can still taste it though. Like polish
Perhaps I'll try that on the taps next time......0 -
Morning peeps, oh bother this month has gone pearshaped. Just had a call that DS1s PC if fixed, but need £75 to pay for that, bill I forgot about came in which is £85 and then there is £220 bills just arrived for the final gas and electric at the last house
bother. Paperwork time for me today will be trying to work out where I can find/save money on
£380....some might have to come out of the Xmas savings.
Have done bath, sink and loo. Need to unpack the last of the things in the bathroom at some point today, then I'll be able to get to the floor properly to clean it. Need to clean the shower screen again, yak, not nice at all.
Pollybear you should try my mouthwash the dentist prescribed, urgh, bloomin' nasty, but I have 5 mouth ulcers on the roof of my mouth to try and get rid of..
Right, time to trawl through the finances then go through the cupboards, freezer and fridge. I was planning a big ish shop today but can't now and will have to just get what I need. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Is that Corsodyl, lil_me? Because I've been using that for my sore mouth. It tastes ten times better than this Listerine stuff! But my teeth were getting a bit discoloured (which it warns you about) so I'm trying to leave it off for a while and see how my mouth goes. I think I was brushing too hard and made it sore. I've been using a softer toothbrush and Corsodyl and it's much better.
I'll try diluting the Listerine - couldn't possibly chuck it out, I'm far too mean. Though if I've still got some left when the next lot of shopping comes I might be tempted to use it to clean the toilet.....
No more cleaning done, but I'm cooking lunch now. Bit of a rush as my son rang just as I was starting and I didn't want to cut him off when he's working away. Missing all my kids this week, all away. DS is always away but he's working in Scotland for two weeks so illogically it feels as if he even more away than usual. I know that doesn't make sense. My DDs are in Cuba.0 -

Just back from nursery with LO, she absolutely loved it:j
Only left her for about an hour on her own and she was great, so she's going for the full 2 1/2 hours tomorrow afternoon. Not got much flying done yet, am going to go and make lentil soup now. Yummy and warm cos its freezing here, plus i have a streaming cold so its great(low fat) comfort food:DThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
