D&DD your poor hubby bless him, he'll be counting the days til he goes back to work :rotfl:
Rach - have you got a recipe for the lentil curry ? I have about 2 more kg of lentils to use up and hunting for ideas
Well brrrrrr it's chuffing freezing out there!!! Spent just over an hour saying things like 'well I'm sure he'll get better eventually' at DS2s football practise :rotfl: bless him it was only his second week. Defrosting is taking a while, resorting to having the laptop on my knee to warm me up...
Got most of the things done off my list apart from taking the DVDs up, only remembered when I just looked at my listI did sort through a sack of gloves, hats and scarves....now all in bedrooms in drawers instead of a big bag, so that's one of tomorrows extra tasks done
oh and a basket on the shoe rack for ones being used now. Once I find a place for everything then I can keep everything in it's place, well that is the theory anyway
One day I might be more organised...........

I managed to finish all my jobs for today, I even cleaned the gunk out of the WM tray, HOW gross!
I started cleaning & scooped up what I first thought was a piece of plastic from the machine, and it turned out to be a huge lump of lard-like congealed washing powder. No wonder the water in the tray would never drain properly! EW!
Anyway, it's all clean now, and I have a nice clean bed to snuggle into when I get home at 6am.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

lil_me, i just made it up on the spot but this is what i did, it was yummy (OH will be glad he's not here as could be rather windy in the night though)
chop and soften a couple of onions, garlic and some ginger if you have some
add some chopped up veg (whatever really) i used a couple of carrots, some frozen peppers and frozen spinach
add a tin of tomatoes & a bit of boiling water
add some rinsed lentils (i used 100g ish which is enough for me for 2 meals, without rice)
add some curry powder (or spices or curry paste) & chilli
cook for about half an hour (don't burn it as i did)
easy peasy and very healthy!
i also added a couple of chopped up quorn fillets, but that's totally optional!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
yuk i've just realised i'm really tired now (just done another job application...) and i still need to make my bed up again....Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Haven't stopped all night - getting ready for tomorrow night's emergency exercise where we pretend that a plane has crashed to test our procedures - hope I'm not stranded out on the runway at 1am - its bloody perishing out there!
Glad it's the study tomorrow - its fairly clean and tidy but I could do with having a good declutter - not good being a stationery addict unless you actually get around to using it.
Have still got a few nice tasks outstanding - long emails/letters to friends - I prefer to write letters to my mates as it always seems special to have something fall through the letterbox that isn't a bill. (Obviously I don't write enough which is why I'm over shoe tops in writing paper).
Have a good morning ladies and will catch up this afternoon xI'd rather be watching CSI!0 -
likklegibbon, I'm a stationery addict too! Mission for the morning is to do the bathroom, get washed and dressed at some point:D and sort through a big pile of stuff from the study which I've been ignoring for months. Starting work at 9 so I'd better get a move on.0
