Afternoon all. I have finally caught up on yesterday's rooms. Trying to stay positive that the house is getting in a better state day by day after my lapse of flying but each room is taking a long time as they really are dirty - sorry pigpen, you tried to keep me in line.
I have got a chicken casserole in the oven and some mince cooking for a savoury crumble for the weekend so that is a good step forward to.
Managed to buy troussers and shoes, got home and decided I really do not like them and as they will cost almost my entire wages from the invigilating they are going back. I will wear the wintery skirts I have plus my boots and that will be fine.
Right school run rush. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Thanks likklegibbon, i'm usually never ill!! Think its just bad timing that i happened to get two things so close together:rolleyes:
Dosing myself up with homemade veggie soup will make me feel better:DThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Afternoon lovelies! ((((((((hugs to all sickies))))))))
I'm gonna start with the things I have done, been to shops, cooked the chicken, busy cooking the veg, made home-made yorks (wow ) littley and her friend are busy playing Nintendo 64 so they're quiete, spoke to DD1 on the phone and she got the job she had an interview for today, I'm so pleased for her it's not fun sitting in a strange house all day in a place you don't know with no friends around you so this is just THE ticket :j it's for a Chemist and they're going to train her to do the dispensing bit too :T downside is she wont be able to come home for Christmas
but it cannot be helped and we are gonna have an extra one in January when she's allowed time off :j
The council's been and fixed both my windows so that's 3 jobs crossed off the list. Littleys bed arrived at OH's and it takes up the entire living room, got to go and have a look at it and make sure it's alright, then re-package it and carry it ALL down to the shed until Christmas Eve  what fun!
Not Done:- THE BATHROOM!!!!!!
Best go check on the fat in the yorks tin, I smell burning............0 -
Well done embb's DD on the job, sounds great0

Hi all
quick update before I have to go back out in the cold and take DD1 to her swimming class. Its so hot in there that you bake to then walk home in the freezing cold. Still stopping for take away tea on walk home so easy night for me! DH is out at a work thing (dinner at the jockey club - very hard work:rolleyes: ).
So I made the goulash soup and it was surprisingly very nice. I have done ALL the ironing. Bathroom done and general hoover, dust, tidy etc. Also filed all the paperwork and shredded some stuff too so please about that.
Still feel woe is me (thanks for all the tips:D ) but think it maybe 'cos I am about to come down with some lurgy. Got gravelly feeling throat and generally feel out of sorts. So as DH is out I will put littles to bed and then have a soak in the bath with a small brandy and head for my bed I think. Unfortunately all this getting up at odd hours of the night with DD2 has taken its toll I think. Just had a panic attack about if I got really poorly who would do the school drop off/pick up?? Doubt DH could take a week off work. Best keep topped up on the vitamins I guess:o .
Right off to get madam into her tracksuit, DD2 is actually eating an apple which is good to see as she has been right off her food for a few days.
Catch you later. Hope Michelle and Nicki are keeping ok??0 -
Thanks Polly :kisses3:
Just waiting for the yorks to cook now, and I have to say they look fabulous! Good 'ole Delia0 -
Ooh Delia's yorkshires are yummy, and so easy!! You're making me hungry!:oThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

I'm fine...just not been flying as such
I'm hiding from Lil_me :shhh: I've been really busy with paperwork and laundry shuffling, and spent an entire day around at my mates
Place doesn't look too bad as I've been managing to keep up with the dailies but I've decided once tea is done (and maybe the washing up
) that my work day finishes so OH and I can spend time together, even if it is him on one computer and me on mine :rotfl: At least we're talking to each other properly again
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
