Yay to half way out...the fact that you've actually prepped them to leave will galvanise you into taking them.

Another member of the Eeyore 'club' reporting in.

Anyway...washing on line. All stuff waiting to be ironed is ironed. Wash basket *almost* emptied. Bunny hutch emptied, understorey swept out. Just having a coffee and an orange then I plan to do the kitchen then the bathroom.

My baby girl is 23 today. She's on holiday in Berlin.

    Happy birthday to Valli's DD.

I have tried to walk the dogs, but they wouldn't move off the doorstep and this after all the time putting layers on, and their coats. They are currently snoozing on the sofa. However, I have done all the study jobs from yesterday's list, joined a work conference call I almost forgot about and have cleaned out the cutlery drawer. Oh and as part of study jobs, I did the shredding and put all the recycling out.

There was a dead spider in the cutlery drawer. Doing that task made me do the washing up too. Yesterday's washing now on airers and dry stuff put away. Not enough to warrant any ironing.

I am now waiting for a delivery due to arrive today so may not get to exercise class although I'm already trying to talk myself out of that anyway.

Don't think DH has made it to Glasgow yet. Apparently they've got snow and road closures. Like I said earlier - madness.

Think I may have an early lunch and read the paper. And turn the heating up even more.

Thanks working mum - I did a search and found a suggestion to boil vinegar and water for 10 minutes so I've done that, the fish smell is slightly less but the kitchen stinks of vinegar now ;) I've got the back door open for a while but it's too cold to leave it too long. The bonus is that my egg saucepan is lovely and shiny now :)

    Happy birthday Miss Valli!

Today has been unexpectedly productive. When I put my mind to it, the job at work which had been worrying me (obviously at 2am, not during the day), was actually sortable, with a bit of concentration.
Before work, I did manage to clean the en-suite, and I got the bathroom cleaned when I got home. Various other jobs tackled, including 2 lots of soup from leftovers and floppy veg. That’s lunch sorted for the week. Feeling pretty chuffed that I have kind of managed to catch the lists up.
Snow has arrived. I don’t want to know about it. I hope your DH made it home or to wherever he was going, Jazee.

Thanks fayolle, he got home just before ten, ten hours on the road for a pointless four hour meeting.

And I really wasn't feeling myself yesterday afternoon so just sat and cuddled the dogs, read a book and ate a whole packet of biscuits. Not feeling fantastic this morning but I've got paid stuff in York today so I'd better get moving.

    Have a great day everyone.

It’s a very chilly morning out there but absolutely beautiful with the sun coming up over snowy fields.

I wimped out of taking DD to school this morning due to the ice on the road. I’ll go out later to do the grocery shopping when hopefully it will have cleared a bit. I’m becoming a bit of a wimp driver in my old age - I used to drive 30,000 miles a year for work and think nothing of it. Now I don’t do anything like that mileage, I seem to have lost my mojo. Plus I’m not a fan of the over aggressive drivers on the roads these days. Ho hum, I’ll stop moaning and look at the lists.
    Have a good day everyone

Morning all. Very cold and frosty here with some icy patches from yesterday's rain, but the sun is shining and the sky is blue. I've put one load of washing out (which has already frozen!) and the second load is spinning. I know it will thaw out soon and it's lovely to get it out of the house for a while. I've got a fruit cake in the oven too.

Not much else going on. DH can't cope with going out in the cold weather and both DDs are at work today.
