    Hello
    Nothing much achieved today.

Been to work, come home, cooked dinner, done a quick s&s of the kitchen and maybe a couple of other things that I can’t remember. Or maybe not.

There is a sense of impending doom with the weather forecast. We get cut off way too often for it to be fun anymore. I’m hoping it all just goes away without dropping any white stuff on its way through.

Feeling a bit Eeyore this evening...is that a thing?! I’m putting it down to sleep deprivation last night. I’m abandoning tonight’s plan for paperwork clearance.

Hugs to those who need one.

Morning all. Absolutely freezing here this morning and DH is off to Scotland for the day. Whatever idiot at head office thought that's a good idea in January needs sacking.

My only plan is exercise class later. Obviously I also need to catch up on yesterday's study jobs and the normal dailies including walking the dogs.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Good morning everyone
I’m doing an extra shift at work this morning to try to shift some backlog. As they are going to pay me, I’m trading my (usually quite productive) Tuesday morning flying for money. My plan is to be home around lunchtime so flying is postponed, not cancelled.
A load of towels is in the wm as I type so that they can be hung indoors before I leave.
Have a good day everyone and I’ll catch you later.

    Up and in this morning,
    WM on
    Bed made
    Dirty clothes cleared off floor
Windows opened (but now shut again as it's still well below freezing)
    Recycling taken out
Cushions etc sorted in living room

Off to fold/iron and put away dry washing then a bit of paperwork

Morning. I haven't been outside yet but it's raining not snowing, so I'll take that as a win ;) Washing in the machine and I don't know what else I'm doing yet. We had fish for tea last night and I can smell it everywhere. I've cleaned everything in sight and I don't know any more if it still smells or the smell is up my nose! I enjoyed it at the time but I'm not so keen now.....

If you leave a saucer of malt vinegar out on your work surface it will take away cooking smells!! My children adore frying food on the hob....bacon, sausages, eggs and the smell can hang in the air but this remedy works a treat

I also use a Prices "cooks candle" and that does the job but is obviously less MSE :rotfl:

Yup, it's a thing. I've been feeling Eeyore for a few days. A couple of early nights (lights out at 8.30 pm on Sunday, last night at 11.30 pm on the dot) and I'm feeling much better this morning. Mostly it's sleep deprivation, and the weather isn't helping AT ALL, especially if you've got the threat of being cut off hanging over you. Don't forget that 4 February is the lowest day of the year in terms of feeling sluggish, depressed and generally Eeyorish. It will pass.

I've been up to the attic and dug out four paintings I want to take to the local auction rooms along with another one I removed from a letting room about two weeks ago. I don't think I'll ever re-hang any of them, so they're now just clutter. OH reminded me they don't do valuations if they've got a sale the next day, so having checked that I've now realised the atticky bit could have waited another week. At least they're halfway out of the house; next Tuesday they'll be all the way out along with some smaller stuff. None of it's valuable, but the auction room is a good one.

I really, really need to do some washing but the weather forecast is dire for a week, so it means TDing all of it. £££ *sigh*
    Better is good enough.
