  • Back from a nice day out.
Picked up a couple of diy bits on my way home and another trip to the tip/charity shop. We should have done so much more of that, but hubby is a hoarder so not as much stuff has left the house as I would have liked.

Hubby has done some big stuff, I really don't think we are anywhere near where we need to be, but I will crack on tonight with the prep.

    As a result
Of the living room carpet being taken up, furniture has been moved around, and I like it. Might keep it like this and see how we manage. It means Pickles toys will go in the bay window. Hmmm decisions decisions. It also completely separated the living room from the dining room which may fix the issue
    That the dining room table
    Becomes a dumping ground.

Tired, but need to crack on tonight.

Gloss done again in the back room.. one more coat on the coat rack and window frames and the chimney breast skirting which has only had one coat and it should all be done.. I am still waiting for the blooming plaster to dry though!!! It was done on the 23rd so taking an age!!

Contacted a guy about fitting the carpet because I can’t be bothered. I just want it done fast.

Off to get girls to bed having debugged them all .. then picking Moomin up and going to Tesco.. I blooming hate Tesco!!

Had to spend £80 to use a £12 voucher at Tesco.. so whizz it all through the scabby thing.. £79.95!!! After sending OH for a second box of cat food! ... tallied up with offers.. £79.35.. so we grabbed a roll of bin bags.. haha.. worked though.. £12 saved.

Got home .. ate an apple.. my house is such a tip.. big tantrum had so everyone did some tidying.. cleared out last few Christmas sweets by feeding them to old offspring. Fed up of looking at it all taking up space now! .. 1 chocolate orange to go!

    Today’s delights..

Bathing small 4.. Twinkle takes 2 to bath her.
    Deflea smalls
    Sort uniforms
    Vacuum downstairs where I can
    Gloss brown bits in need
Boss OH to put his tools away before he goes to work!
    Adjust online Tesco order.
    DW
    WM
    TD
    empty bins
Clean other half of worksurface and MW.

And another 18 billion things no doubt!

    Morning

I've been cheering you all on from the side-lines this week. The plan was to get back on the wagon yesterday but that didn't happen as it snowed here. And how does that stop me flying??? Well, :o, I was taking DS and GF to the railway station to catch the 11am train - so when I looked out at 4am and it was snowing I   _pale_ _pale_ ……. for the next six hours. Then I took them to the station: the roads were clear and Morries roundabout was not gridlocked by people panicking and stockpiling bread and milk, and they didn't miss their train, so I didn't ruin their anniversary weekend. Then I came home and   no door key - last seen when handed to DS as he'd forgotten something in the house. Said DS is now on a train to London _pale_ Spare key is inside the house. Phone call established that DS does NOT have key in his pocket :T Finally found the key in my car boot where DS had dropped it when he put forgotten item in his bag. I came in and ate three packets of crisps and half a packet of biscuits - then read all afternoon. Finished the book, so it can go back to Dad today - that's decluttering right? :o

I got up at 7.10 am ready to crack on - and I'm still sat in my dressing gown :o But I am up to date with fb!!

I'm going to get washed and dressed then set the timer for hhc.

    I'll be back!

Morning all. I've just hung some washing round the radiators, it's sunny out and looks lovely but I'd have to shovel snow to get to the washing line and it's still very cold so I'm not doing that!

Just finished knitting a jumper for DD2 (she bought the wool), I hate sewing up but it's done now and I can give it to her next time I see her. I will give my hands a rest for a few days before I start anything else but I miss not having something on the go when I'm watching television.

Not planning to go out today because there's still lots of snow and ice but hopefully that will clear in the next day or so.

took up pile of clean clothes
    changed towels in bathroom
loaded WM with dirty towels and set swishing
decanted new bird seed in to holder
    WUDUPA bowl of pots
    filled kettle

    It's a start :)

Beautiful bright day here so I have washing on the line (bedding) and the bunny hutch cleaned out and airing.

Loads to do including making a taster for SW tomorrow. I really hate cooking for people I don't 'have' to feed...I don't feel I'm good enough.
