Im just finalizing it - I dont know if im being silly - where exactly are there examples for the WS in the newbies thread?

The letter says 14 days before the day of hearing so that gives me till early Feb.

I just counted at least seven - following the heading:

You do know you can electronically search any thread for a word like 'witness'?

Thanks for that, I must be blind or sumin.

Ive just looked through some of the WS samples. I just need a little more steering please - I want to make my case as a basic error in writing a number which i rectified by writing over it/correcting the digit.

On what other grounds shall I pursue - As the registered keeper would I pursue using the Schedule 4 of POFA?

I have noted issues with the contracts in the WS of Gladstones.

The signature on page 5 near the printed name Koddus Miah is different to the signature on page 6 underneath the printed name Koddus Miah and the company name.
Two different people on same document with no proof either of them are Koddus Miah.

There is no name in the "Contract accepted by" (Sales Manager) box and nothing in the "Contracts Verified by" (Accounts Manager) box.
So who accepted and verified it?

The contract refers to fines several times. These are not permitted and cannot be enforced by a private company or individual.

Just reading this point, paragraph 6 it does mention that the contract will be deemed as rolling unless written notice is given. So Im guessing I cant use this point?

Failure to plan is your issue, not ours

Your WS tells teh FACTS around the event. It would also be REALLY sensible to take your defence, work out what FACTS you have to support your defence arguemtns, and ensure your WS includes those facts.

Get cracking.

I know I had from November, I was so snowed under with everything I left it till late.

Ive started on it - need to add defence to the WS.

You don't add the defence to the Witness Statement (WS), it is a stand-alone document. What you must do is, as nosferatu said, look at your defence, let's say that in your defence your point No. 1 was to counter the PPC's assertion that you didn't pay for a ticket, you said "The defendant parked in XXX car park, having purchased a ticket" Your witness statement will say "On xx/xx/xx I drove into XXX car park, parked and put £3.50 into the PDT machine, put ticket on my dashboard and went about my business" Please see evidence folder E3 for a copy of the ticket.


Etc., etc. Please note I am only using paying for a ticket as an example. You tailor your WS to your situation and your already submitted defence.
