Oh Catowen, I'm sorry you feel like poo, that's what kids do -they take you for granted and the reason is because they know you will always be there. You are the one they can rely on for unconditional love and support. They don't need to tell you they love you because they know you're there for them. It's obviously a different story with their father, they know they can't rely on him.
Hope you feel better soon:grouphug:0 -
Catowen,
Hugs to you,
Thriftlady is absolutly correct, your kids love you to bits as you do them, but they KNOW you love them unconditionally, and they are not sure of this with their father, my DD is absolutly the same with her dad, he can do no wrong  , whereas I am always the bad one.
In a way its quite a compliment, as you know they are comfortable with you, they are putting on an act with him, that they know they need to do to keep their dad interested. They don't need to do it with you, give yourself a pat on the back :T . He is the one loosing out not you xx0 -

Hello,
Thanks everyone for your get well wishes. :A Woke up this morning feeling a lot better. Bit seedy but definately on the mend. I managed to keep down the toast at 3pm so I had some scrambled egg on toast for tea. Kept that down too. Just had some more toast with vegemite& tea for brekky. I jumped on the scales and have lost 3.5kg.
Probably all fluid but it was nice to see even though I'm sure it's fleeting.
Pink I hope DS has improved and thanks to Aunty Haribo for letting us know.
Churchmouse I'm afraid that's what happens in the farming world. If Mouse isn't performing soon off goes her head.If only she could keep her mind off Darcy she may perform soon.
Cat All kids are ungrateful sods at some point of time. Hugs to you. They will work it out when they get older.
Taplady I hope your DH gets better soon. I'm sure he'll perk up with one of these. :grouphug:
Well better get going. XDIL & DGS off to play group on the island soon. Think I will just have a bit of a veg out. ByeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
aaaw hugs catowen - don't get upset - they will realise where their bread's buttered. dd is 11 now and me and her dad split up 3 years ago. when he's late she makes my life a misery and then doesn't say anything to him but i just try and ignore it - tonight she said she loves her dad and spending time with him but they don't really do much because he promises her everything and organises nothing.
just got in from the wedding - the bride and groom were gorgeous. the wedding itself was yesterday with the reception tonight being the last of a week of different events. My friend is punjabi indian and the groom is from sri lanka - her family were not happy and it has taken a long 2 years for them finally to be together. They look so happy and the family seem to have come round to it at last. Had to leave at 9.30 to pick up dd from her sister in time for school tomorrow but then ended up sitting there for another hour before comng home - if I have a befuddled head tomorrow it will be nothing to do with the very large vodkas - honest
Lovely to hear that master pink is on the mend - cheers for letting us know hariboI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Hugs to Aussie...Boy has it been quiet round here.
I'd just reiterate what everyone else has said Cat. :A
Just spent an hour on the phone to Pink...DS1 is feeling brighter but they're non the wiser about exactly what it is and when he'll be out. He's a very very brave boy. :A Pink is shattered but will post in the morning....and thanks again.xxx
I'm off to Glasgow to the hozzy tommorrow. As if you all didn't have enough to worry about. :rotfl: Just a routine thing though and I'm quite looking forward to 4 hours alone in the car.
Sleep well everyone.
Haribo x0 -
Good luck Haribo!! Hope you've remembered to shave all those bits that need to be shaved:rolleyes:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
