    Evening all,

Hugs to all who are suffering in any way for any reason and congratulations to all who are celebrating...enjoy the Yorkshires PenPin!

Pink, hope that DS is better soon....of course he's your baby no matter how big he is!

Starting to clear the tip that is my bedroom and finding that I never need to buy clothes again unless I live to be at least 150!

Bit of a 'scratch' dinner to-day....I have just finished the leftovers from Friday's tarragon chicken stirfry, OH, DD4 and DSG2 had spagbol and there is enough of that for me to-morrow.

Hope that you all have a lovely evening....nearly forgot, good on you Hester, that lodger is unbelievable, I would have thrown her out long ago...not sure that I believe that she can be so unaware of European culture, maybe I am just over suspicious, but I think that you are just too nice for your own good.

Pen Pin - want to swap hens - ours are about 6 weeks older than yours and we still have no eggs  :p;)

PenPen how could you:eek:   I'm shocked to my little cotton socks:p My namesake and her sisters are no doubt doing their very best to start laying:D (are they very late starting:confused: ?) Perhaps PPs birds are older than they're letting on, you know us girls and our coyness about telling our age:rotfl: :rotfl:
Just promise me you won't do that scene in the *Good Life* where Tom took a gun to kill one and frightened it into laying:rotfl:

    Evening everyone

Just a quick note before I go out! Probably won't be back until the end of the week unless the hotels in France have wi-fi again. I was hoping for good news on Pink's DS.

Take care everyone and I'll keep my fingers crossed for Pink.

    Evening!

Well, we now have a tidy bedroom (thank goodness) and OM (old man) is fed up because I made him go through his wardrobe. He sorted out all his summer clothes which I put away - now he can find & wear his winter clothes. He seems to have a problem with knowing what season it is and is quite capable of going off to work in lightweight trousers and short sleeved shirts in February or complaining he is hot after wearing heavy brushed cotton long sleeved shirts in August ("but the sleeves were rolled up!").

I was amazed to find a collection of FIVE unopened shirts, a tie, as well as new underwear and socks... won't need to buy him anything in the January sales! All the more to spend on me....oops, I mean what a lovely way to save some money.

I have brought down the cards, wrapping paper and gift bags we bought in January so I can start the Christmas wrapping and writing. It's going to take me all my time but I am starting to see some small improvements.

Had a winter teatime tonight, with crumpets in front of the fire... pity it wasn't lit (MUST get the chimney swept), but we lit the candles instead.

    Donny-gal enjoy!

Pink fingers, knees and eyes crossed for DS

Hester time for her marching orders?

    Stay safe everyone.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
  • Thanks again folks....DNephew is ok....they're running more tests and there's not much else to tell but I'll keep you posted. Pink is soooo grateful for your kind thoughts.

Am i the only person here with really ungrateful children?

I feel so low now, there father (and i use that term very loosely) has just phoned, and even though it was a couple of minutes talking to each of them (the only call of the week, and last week he didnt even call) they both end up telling him how much they love him etc, and for some reason, today it just tore right through me.
The amount of times he has seen them this year, i can actually count on one hand and even though he has a weekend off next week, he is going to visit his sister, rather than his own children - his sister who doesnt even send his children a card for their birthdays (mind you, his mum didnt even send DS one for his birthday this year!!!). - am i the only one who thinks this is wrong?

My problem is i live my life for my children, ive been scrabbling around for extra work, so that i can have money for their christmas, going without myself so they can have extra, and after hearing them on the phone tonight, i really am wondering why im doing it.

Sorry to go on, but im hoping i will feel a bit better now ive got that off my chest!!!
