joannasmum- oh tell me about it!! it must be 3yr old girl thing, mine is just the same!!! not necessarily having a paddy but everything must be done with a whinge and a moan! it drives you nutty doesnt it!! you dont get that with boys - well I didnt with mine.
Never mind 3 yr old, mine's still at it at 7 yrs old. And you're right Shez, boys are much less whingy/moany in my experience.

Well, I've got my chicken and spuds roasting away -gotta be the bestest smell in the world:drool: :D

I'm stuck for a pud though, as the oven is full I can't bake anything (not organised enough this morning) -mind you we're always stuffed after the roast it's probably best to ditch pud -I know:dance: I'll do a choc fudge pud to have after our beans on toast tea. Thanks guys :D

Afternoon all and hugs to those with dear ones ill or just playing up

Having succmbed to a casablanca/gone with the wind fest last night I am pretty busy today. Am about a quarter of the way through the dreaded kitchen blitz and need to do some baking today too. am alternating a half hour of cleaning with a half hour of knitting socks for christmas as I'm fed up with both.

Made some laundry gloop this morning but made it really thick - in an ice cream tub instead of my usual bucket - so am experimenting with how much to use - probably about a teaspoon at a time should do it and will last for ages. Have also "fed" the christmas cakes - they smell gooooooooooood.

Tea tonight will be party food at friend's wedding reception - yum :)
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

So ds1, ds3 and dh gone off to match, only me dd and ds2 here and both are being good playing in their bedrooms.
Iv got beef dinner cooking ready for when the footballers arive home, got everything together for pack ups tommorow and uniforms all done.
So plan of spending the afternoon, selling and buying on ebay.
Oh nearly forgot ds3 footy match this morning his team won 3-1 and ds3 scored all 3 and won man of the match so all dd moaning was worth putting up with as i would have kicked myself if i had missed it!!

PP congrats on your 1st chooky egg - I have just got myself an eglu and booked 3 black rock hens point of lay for March time as they wont lay up here in the winter = its too dark.
Roll on march and decent eggs.
Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j
  • I've had a productive day so far; a batch of homemade stuffing made and put in the freezer, same for potato hotcakes (recipe from here somewhere) and a plum crumble ready to go in the oven along with the beef. I've also wrapped up loads of Christmas presents and have stashed them away and realised that I've almost 'done' it and not at a great cost either.

Unfortunately I have loads more to do but my motivation has upped and left. Has anyone seen it?

Aussie - Hope you feel better soon

Tru - I have only just read your post on yesterday's daily - hugs to you. I know it is hard to put up with the moaning at times but keep on going with your cards, the satisfaction of having your own successful business will make it all worthwhile.

Pink - hugs to your and your family. I wish your DS a speedy recovery

Cheerfulness - Congrats to your DS

Hester - That is a brilliant idea for your kid's Christmas presents. I have asked my Mum to sew me a couple of kingsize duvet covers for Xmas :)

PenPin - Congrats on the egg. Your chooks must have settled in really well to start laying so quickly

Pooky - hope you are settling into your amazing new house well :)

Thankyou you all so much for your kind thoughts yesterday. I am feeling better now, had a good nights sleep (until the cats started scrapping at 5am )

The pasty dilemma has been solved - we were going to put a new freezer in the shed at some point, so we have looked in the paper and hopefully will pick up a cheap freezer in the next couple of days, then they can go in there.

Nothing going on here today - just Ebay listings

Dinner is Toad in the Hole (we didn't have it the other night)

I'm a first class !!!!!, so far I have been very polite, reminding the lodger politely about the house rules.
But today I was waiting to serve a meal & told her it waould be ready if 15 minutes & I needed her to be off my home phone by then as it is considered rude to have a loud screeching phone call while people are eating. I have reminded her many time, but she insists on bringing her mobile to the table.
Today after waiting 30 minutes I went in to remind her that we were waiting to eat.
I set the table, served the food, called hubby & just unplugged the phone while she was still talking!
    Hugs Hester

    Hester....well done. :T :T :rotfl: :T :T

Pink..I hope DS is improving and will be home soon.

    Aussie....hope you feel better soon.

Hugs to all the other poorlies and those who are still recovering or suffering.

I did my car boot sale this morning and we all observed the silence as a mark of respect. I made £85, after pitch rental :j

Not brought too much stuff home, but I will keep searching out more [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] treasure to take to the next one.

No idea what is for tea, could well be bacon and eggs...sounds like a splendid Sunday dinner to me.

Catch up with you all later.
