Honeybear thankfully the owner of scraped car was actually okay about it, which was a relief. Although when I saw my supervisor to tell him what had happened I just burst into tears and blubbed for about 5 minutes..lol The upshot of this all is I have actually got a designated parking space at my unit now they are even going to have a little plaque put up with my name, car reg and volunteer on it. I think they are desperate to keep me...lol I feel so special..lol

Hmm flying wise I haven't really managed much, I made the bed, washed up breakfast things and generally did a 15 minute tidy up before DH came home. l even made a toad in the hole for our tea :D

  • Still feeling bleurgh, so having one more day off. It's inconvenient, but at least it isn't full blown flu and it's been relatively quiet at work, so it's better than dragging myself in, giving it to everybody else and then collapsing in a heap when things are so busy, I can't afford to be ill.

Wobbled over to the kitchen and cleaned the countertop, though. It only took five minutes, but looked far better afterwards. Then had a very long sit down afterwards.

Tomorrow's schedule is to get up, have a bath and then rest.

Wm has just finished and a big pile of ironing has been done. That might be it before I dash to work. Given that it has taken me 10 minutes to get this post done, today maybe a Technically Challenged day!
DD is 16 today. Just how did that creep up?

    Morning

Thank you for all the hugs for myself and DS - I've passed them on to him. He smiled and gave me a big hug back - which I am now sharing with you all (((:heart2:))) xx

It snowed while I was at Dad's on Tuesday night . Called in on my way home from work; it was rainy sleet when I went in, came out to a everything covered in snow and huge snowflakes falling. I had to clear Pip before I could drive home - there was too much snow on the windscreen for the wipers to shift! WM x1 that night.

'Interesting' drive to work yesterday as the snow had stopped and then frozen. Couldn't get in to Pip to begin with - door frozen shut. By the time I got to work I was coursing with adrenaline, cortisol, and all those other things that make you run out of spoons before you run out of day! I paid the rent on the way home, and put the bins out. That was it :o.

It's my uncle's funeral this morning. My brother is taking me and Dad - it's going to be tough, I think. First time at the Crem since Mum's funeral in November and there'll be a lot of the same people there. And breathe... I'm hoping that Dad will start to pick up again after today as his brother dying, and so quickly, has knocked him right back. It's hard watching your Dad cry :(

My kitchen still makes me smile though :o I'm hoping to make more progress in there at the weekend. But today will be: shower, dress, feed birds, bring in bin (it was emptied at 7.20 am - byebye conifer branches), walk/slip/slide round to dad's, DB picking us up at 10, funeral at 10.40, DB bringing me home (I hope!!!) as I'm not going to the wake, then an hour to get changed, eat lunch, and go to work for 12.30. Playing catch up with phone messages and emails should make the afternoon pass and will be a welcome distraction. Did I just use the word 'welcome' in relation to work?!!!! We live in strange times :)

Flying tonight will depend on how many spoons there are left in the pot. I may just fall asleep in the chair like I did last night :o We'll see,

Get well soon to all the poorlies. Hugs to all.

(((Hugs))) for ATB and Wishing. Missing someone isn't fun. Any Fayolle got it right - what took them so long, Natty?

Up early enough to tidy around and finish off the things that got left over from yesterday; sandwiches made for my stint at the Foodbank, cats fed, tea and coffee slurped, OH has his tea in bed and all's well with the world.

I bought an A4 diary this year to use in addition to my normal one. At the beginning of each week I put all the time commitments and appointments I've got in the week in there, ruling out a few hours for each one that I know about. It doesn't leave a lot of 'free time' to be fair to myself. I've got a thick pile of To Do notes that never seem to diminish; all of the thoughts and ideas that occur to me that involve me getting off my lardy bum and actually doing something that probably won't result in anything much looking better in the house, but will eventually result in it being much easier to manage. Jolly hard to motiviate myself to do the to be honest. All those roundtuit jobs, basically.

I've been allocating one or two a day to myself for the past few weeks and I have to say as a Time Management idea, it's working. I am absolutely determined to get to grips with this issue because it's been driving me demented for my whole adult life. I think my system works a bit like a bullet journal, but they seem to be very complicated, and if I started using symbols and coloured pens I'd be fiddling with it all day. Pen, pencil, rubber and ruler - the KISS rule applies.
    Better is good enough.

Kaz glad the funeral went well yesterday, well as well as a funeral can. Sometimes simple, plain flowers are the best..
I can’t believe you have done all that in one morning.. I have barely moved from the sofa…lol

Aww bless the pair of you, it makes my 5 years of long intensive therapy worth it you know. A few years ago I was so depressed/ill even thinking about being special to someone, let alone here and “work” (my old therapy unit) would have been inconceivable. Even accepting a compliment would have had me running for the hills to hide for a long time..

Honeybear afraid I’m one of those that likes my bullet journal looking pretty. I have my coloured fountain pen ink that I change every month (or when I can’t find my favourite pen!), a picture to depict the month beginning as well as my trackers, budget etc. These are done prettily mainly because it is my downtime and a form of mindfulness for me. Although saying that my lists in there normally get carried over until they are done. But I like to see what I have done eventually…

Jojo hope you are feeling better today and you are resting up. Make himself do things that need doing and look after you.

ATB and Wishing ((hugs)) all round for you both xxx

Afraid I’m still in my pj’s on the sofa, although saying that I managed to clean out my handbag of all the crapola while frantically searching for my favourite fountain pen. Didn’t find the pen but have a lovely clean and semi empty handbag now. Updated my journal, filled in my expenses from the last couple of days and drunk copious cups of tea. Oh and I did manage to order DH his birthday card all ready for Sunday. hopefully he won’t moan at me for using the credit card this month..lol

I also need to do the ironing, hoovering (that keeps getting carried over) and level one from the lists.
