(((Hugs))) for JoJo, ATB, Roundtuit, Yorkshire Lass and everyone else battling at the moment, plus Lamewolf if you'd like a (((hug))) too. You will get through this, All Shall Be Well.
Big shout out to Miss Valli for her 5K today.
Ionafan, it sounds as though your office is finally going to stop driving you mad. It's amazing how quickly a room can look shipshape once one has got one's head around it. That usually takes longer than the room itself!
Very, very busy morning, house is looking fairly respectable, and now to get ready for guests for dinner tonight. I'm going to catch up with myself one of these days, but I'm not holding me breath.Better is good enough.0 -
Stupid late night last night. Too much stress on top of going to work after a whole 3 hours' sleep the night before (interrupted after an hour by somebody coming to bed 4 hours after they were supposedly going to be 'five minutes'). Slept OK afterwards, just very late.
Cleaned the tops of the bookcases/sideboard, decluttered Stuff from the tops and dusted off a few bits. It looks almost spotlessly clean and tidy now.
Idiot Cat has decided that his latest bed is the seat cushion I inadvertantly left on the coffee table for a few moments. Trouble is that he launches himself at it at such speed, he sledges across the length of the table before coming to a precarious halt. I'll give it a day or so and the novelty of ending up on the floor will have abated for him.
Himself is on kitchen duty. I've not made any mess out there since clearing the surface, so he can deal with it - and the assorted candle related things I've dumped by the sink for melting down, emptying and washing.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Morning all
Here I am, stupidly early on a Sunday morning. DS came in from a night out at 5am, crept into the kitchen for a glass of water and woke the dog up (who is unsettled at the minute anyway). No way was the dog going back to sleep so I have got up. This is fairly close to my normal getting up time anyway.
However, I do feel a bit better this morning so far, time will tell. Nice cup of lemon and ginger tea first and will do some paperwork, have a Universal Credit Form to finish for DS.0 -

Morning all,
Small ensconced in front of the goggle box for 10 minutes before breakfast.
Today is more woodworm eradication prep (t minus 7 days) 9 already packed boxes & the sideboard are ready for hubby to lift upstairs. He also wants to clear the Lego from the cellar up into the office. My to do list:
Pictures off wall and under our bed
Electric piano
Living room baskets
Last bits of nik naks from front room.
Two rolls of carpet off cuts.
Once that is all done I think we will feel a bit more sorted as far as the ground floor of the house is concerned. We also need to think carefully about the dining room decoration which we are going to get done at the same time whilst the room is clear and we are away for a week. Discussion with hubby required.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

Good morning YL and all my lovely friends. YL I hope the feeling better lasts for you my lovely xx
It is blowing a gale here, so when I get up I will get the bedding in the WM. I had a really good long chat with DH yesterday, hopefully things will change we just need to get through this working away contract. I am doing a course which will increase my chances of getting a better paid role in school, and he can spend less time away and more at home. I think DS needs him a lot, a strong role model is important.
Anyway I am rambling need more tea! Pork for dinner, pancakes for brekkie xxMFW

Morning everyone xx
Had a rush to wash and dry all DS's work shirts yesterday after he said they were going back to GF's house and he'd be staying for the week rather than the usual overnight (I don't have a drier so it was crank up the heating and sweat it out!)
Once they'd gone it was like all the stuffing went out of me. I just felt empty. So much grief and sadness week after week after week caught up with me I think. So I gave myself some 'time out' - watched tv, read, and ate a shedload of chocolate. The world didn't stop, but I got off anyway. And, around 9pm I found myself and got back on again.
And here I amUnlike my industrious friends all I've done since I got up at 7.10 am is drink a cup of tea and eat my porridge. Oh, and sort through a bag of gibble that DS brought down - shred / recycle / bin. He binned a large bag full of rubbish before they went - and gave me two bags of recycling and a bag of 'dunno' . It was the 'dunno' I've emptied
Better get dressed first.

Good morning all
I’ve been MIA for a couple of days so have been catching up with you all. Lots of hugs all round, especially to ATB, YL, Jojo and Roundtuit.
Round - you are so right - sometimes you just need to get off that merry go round as catch your breath. Hugs, my lovely.
Well done to Miss Valli. :T
Yet again I am reporting in with no flying. Friday was another chaotic day at a different job. Yesterday DD and I had an expedition to the Big City by train to spend her birthday money, have lunch etc etc. Not much birthday money appears to have been spent but I spent more time than I care to remember loitering outside fitting rooms and seemingly opening MY purse instead of her’s.
Today was going to be catch up on paperwork and lots of bitty jobs but I am soon off with DSis to visit an old lady ex neighbour from our childhood, and DH is making noises about using the laptop all afternoon. Plan rethink coming on.
While we were out yesterday, DH dismantled the bed in the spare room, which was in the plan. However distributing other furniture in all other rooms was not the intention. Other rooms, including our bedroom, now look a complete mess. And breathe.
I hope everyone can get a relaxing day in today. It sounds like that is what the doctor is ordering all round. xx0 -
Washing on the line, first load of clean laundry put away, DW on, general tidying done.
Off out shortly to a local farm for the kiddies to burn some energy off xxMFW

Morning all. Lovely and sunny out but a biting cold wind. I've already been to the tip with DD2 this morning. Not much else going on. Yesterday we were dog sitting for DD1 but he slept most of the day so I'm not sure he cared!0
