    Evening :)

A good couple of days food wise for me although today was harder because of the usual temptations at work but I managed to eat only what I brought in and a couple of polo mints :)

I made a roast pork dinner yesterday with loads of vegetables, root mash made from swede, carrot, parsnip, turnip and celeriac, braised peas and lettuce and oven braised celery. Most of the celery was blended to make soup. There were enough LOs for a repeat dinner tonight. Today was a lazy food day with LO lentil lasagna from the freezer for lunch sometimes the fridge to table in under five minutes avoids picking because I cba to cook :)

Checking with a small loss of -1lb I thought I had done better as apart from yesterday I was pretty restrained all week. Still not to worry new week onwards and downwards!

B porridge, milk, frozen cherries, banana
L stir fry, lf lemon chicken
D bacon and cheese risotto, salad, roasted butternut squash
S 2 cereal bars (usually have 1 at work about 10:30 but my stomach was rumbling so noisily at 12 I had to bribe it with another cereal bar!)
    Yoghurt

Well, not too bad a day yesterday. I went for a swim first thing and did 40 lengths. I used to do 64 which is about a mile but since I was ill before Christmas I'm only just getting back to it. Hoping to do 46 tomorrow. Followed that with some gardening which wasn't hard digging or anything but kept me busy. Had a banana and peanut butter half wrap after swimming, a vegan sausage roll from Greggs for lunch and I made a vegan Mac'n'cheese for supper which was full of broccoli and onion and marinaded mushrooms. It was truly yum and could have eaten it twice over. (I'm a pescatarian and my daughter is vegan)

Today I will do an early morning yoga session then go and do my cleaning job for a friend's elderly mother. Not sure what I'm eating today but it needs to be tasty or I'll end up cheating.

I'm having lunch at a friend's house so I don't know what that'll be. Might comfort eat though because we are going to her first support group meeting. She was diagnosed with Motor Neurones Disease at the end of last year and doesn't want to go alone. Very, very sad.

So. Here goes for another day on the right road to a new me. I hope you all have a healthy, happy day and the new eating plans all stay on track.
    :)

Slowdown, I hope all goes as well as it can today.

Yesterday I had a skinny latte for breakfast, marmite on toast for lunch and a home-made Quorn cottage pie for dinner.

I've been really good at not snacking for the past couple of weeks but did succumb to two chocolates. We bought a bit more then necessary for Christmas so have a cupboard full of leftovers which keep calling to me.

I found some soup that I'd forgotten about in the fridge yesterday so will have some of that for lunch, I'm sick of toast, and I'm not sure yet about dinner. I'm thinking chilli or something with veg but that could easily change.
  • Meal last night was very nice. I decided that since it was a sort of birthday meal out (I'd been given the voucher as a birthday present back in the summer) that I wasn't going to worry about counting calories and that I was going to have exactly what I wanted. For starter I had breaded Camembert (Yum!), my main was Moules marinière (Yum Yum!) and pudding was mango sorbet (Yum Yum Yum!). We also had a glass of prosecco each and then went to a bar after where I had another small glass of wine.

It was all completely delicious, and I don't regret eating any of it. With that in mind I need to try and be extra good today. It's going to be hard because I am really tired. We had a late night by the time we'd got a taxi back from town, and then OH's alarm went off at 6am, so I got up with him as I knew I'd not get back to sleep. I took the opportunity to go and ride my horse before work, but it's all hit me a bit now. Really craving a hot chocolate and a piece of cake. Willpower is not strong today!

    The plan today:
    B: 1 shredded wheat, 1 weetabix, s/s milk
L: Ham and lettuce thin, bag of crisps
T: Pulled BBQ Chicken from the slow cooker, probably with a jacket potato and veg.
S: maybe a hot chocolate, maybe a can of pop, maybe nothing if I can resist (unlikely)
Sealed pot challenge 11: number 594

Hello all, can I join in please?

I'd love to lose maybe a stone and a half to 2 stone - to get to around 10 st would be great.

It can be a little difficult for me as I'm type 1 diabetic, so trying to manage insulin doses, carb intake and exercise so as to try and get blood sugars within range is a bit of a balancing act.

I managed to lose a stone using My Fitness Pal a year or two ago, but it's all gone back on. Am going to use it again this time round as it certainly helps.

Anyway, I'm waffling now - can you please put me down for -7lb between now and 31st March. I usually weigh on a Monday morning, so will update then.

Will add my food for today:

    B. Slice of danish toasted, black coffee
    L. Boiled egg, two slices wholemeal, half a banana
    D. Grilled lamb steak, new pots (just few), cabbage, 1 small hm yorkshire, carrots, mange tout, mint sauce, gravy. Pud will be 'mousse' made with SF jelly and evaporated milk.

    E. Morning mile and 2.25 miles this afternoon - total today 3.25 miles brisk walk
