  • I didn't realise people still had ceiling fans in their lounge.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.
  • I think it looks fantastic, except for the second armchair in the lounge, which I'd probably remove as it makes the room look too small.
  • I like the wood doors, they look much higher quality than painted.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

    8. Great (and so pleased to see someone used their noddle and put the shower dial away from under the shower! A rarity!).

    .

Is that a thing? My shower controls are under the shower itself. If it isn't, don't you have to keep turning to adjust temperature etc? Also, the hose would get it the way, wouldn't it?
    It looks odd to me.

OP, I wondered if there's a reason there's absolutely nothing on the walls? No pictures anywhere. The second and third bedrooms look sparse. A buying is not buying the contents, obviously, but it doesn't look very homely.
I hate the fan in the lounge ceiling.
  • Your lounge and your kitchen/diner look like they belong in completely different houses.

The lounge is small, and your pictures only emphasise this.

Thanks all...really helpful......and have our first viewing booked tomorrow afternoon, an hour after going live. Be interesting to get some direct feedback - although a close offer would be good :j

Floor plan - will ask agent to get this altered to show dimensions, I must have missed this, thanks.....

Ceiling fan - the lounge does get hot on a few days in summer (more this year) and it is nice to sit under a cool breeze, although I accept it does look bulky......there were fans in both bedrooms but I removed these and filled painted the ceiling....

Hall doors - these are actually solid oak and cost quite a bit. I will leave it up to new owner. If they want white it is easy to paint, if they are painted and they want oak, they will have to replace them. Actually the hall is very wide at just under 6’ which is quite unusual.

Lack of pictures - the photographer made us remove them all, and as the EA paid for a professional photographer, we went along with him.

Will speak to EA about changing order.

Yes there is a bus stop outside but luckily it is very rarely used, and mainly by pensioners. Although some may not see it as such, it is quite handy as it stops outside hospital and then goes into town centre. As bungalow may appeal to elderly who do not drive, or in the future may not drive, it could be convenient. I accept that some may not see it like that.

Lounge - I can see this is a possible issue, but we only have a 2 seater settee and 2 chairs. I would like to keep the 4 seats as most couples will have another couple and it shows how 4 people can be seated. Probably our fault for going for all G Plan recliners which are quite bulky.

The bungalow is a little mix of styles, but unfortunately we were not expecting to sell and we did it to our tastes. The good thing is most of the replastered walls have only been emulsioned, so will be easy for new purchaser to change colours if they wish to.

Shower - it is great being able to turn it on, and walk away until it gets hot, without having to jump back to avoid getting covered in cold water lol. It is a good quality unit and is set at a good temp, and generally does not need altering, unless someone uses a tap - note to self - next property will have a pressurised cylinder system!

    It looks odd to me.

Mine is sadly one big unit, shower, dials, panel, etc. Saw some property bod telling someone to put the dial by the entrance to shower and thought OMG how logical. Much better! I don't think it looks odd. Prob just what we're used to seeing. I dunno about you, but I rarely change my temp setting while I'm actually in the shower. And so long as it's just an arm length away, it shouldn't matter.

tbh doubt anyone would really like the ceiling fan, but at least it gives them something to change to their taste.

I like your front door, is it composite?

    And I'm also a martin 1959 too :-)

Porch door (black) is composite, but white front door with stained glass is Victorian/Edwardian (not sure which) which came from a reclamation yard. It took quite a few hours to route out all the joints and fill and then paint.....painting wood around leadlight glass is a pain in the !!!!, even after trying to mask with frog tape. Looks lovely, but not sure I would do it again.

They are great in a hot day, but I agree they do look bulky. We will offer any purchaser the fan, or offer to take it down and replace with a light fitting.

After 40 years I have just made contact with an old school friend, who designs and manufactures cooling cellars for pubs and clubs. Hoping to tap him up for a couple of cheap air con units if they can be installed discreetly in the loft of the new bungalow with ceiling vents....no more fans :T

Not much to say as overall it's very well presented. Looks high spec. Cool kitchen.

"central island and quartz work surface with inbuilt drainer ..." are all the work surfaces quartz? The listing only talks about the island.

"Further matching wall mounted storage units". The wall units are different to the base units. May as well say what both are and name drop if branded.

The big windows in the dining area are superb but what do you do for privacy when it's dark outside and you have the lights on with no blinds/curtains?

What is a sun tunnel? Does it warrant a photo?

"Parking for up to 5 cars" and "To the front of the property there is independent off street parking for three vehicles" where do the other two cars go?

Does the map and street view take you to the right place?

PS: Would like a kitchen sink in the middle of the room too. Is it hard to run the plumbing, where does the waste pipe go and how do you get enough gradient?
