Seems this driver had time to drive somewhere to drop his trailer then drive to a residential area to park the tractor. Perhaps he could have used the time to drive the 10 mins to base.
I am not a cat (But my friend is)

Can you park your own vehicle there for a few nights to deter the lorry driver or, if you don't have a car, ask a friend to do so?

But what if he'd dropped his trailer somewhere to get loaded but base was 5 hours away

Cost If he's trailer is getting loaded while he's parked somewhere else on rest that's making money so very likely

Five hours away roughly 200 miles at 10 miles to the gallon and a return trip to get the trailer.

So that what about £220 on fuel.

Ten hours average labour costs say £160 to £200.

And the vehicle isn't making any money.

    That's why.

One of us is going wrong somewhere and I think I don't think it's me. I'm saying a lorry is out working and the driver runs out of time so parks his trailer somewhere ready for loading and drives somewhere to park up. He cant drive 5 hours back to base then take his car home as some want. After his rest he picks his trailer up and carries on with his weeks work.
