Dyson is leaving because he wants to be able to continue selling expensive vacuum cleaners to the EU, something he might not be able to do if they remain in Britain.

It seems P&O want to align with the EU for tax reasons where they pay based on tonnage not profit. I'm not clear if that affects who they pay the tax to. Clearly we will have no say.

The Head Office is moving to Singapore so not anywhere within the eu, and he is moving there because that is where they are making the electric car. He is not closing the UK manufacturing base, that is remaining open here.

Manufacturing has long been closed and is in Malaysia. There is an R&D centre in the UK.

You're missing the point about Singapore. They have a trade deal with Europe. We don't.

I'm sure Sir James will still pop back occasionally to collect his £1.6 million taxpayer funded farm subsidy handout, should it continue.

Fervent Leaver Dyson announces he is going to live by his word and is leaving Europe himself, and taking Dyson with him. The company will now be based in Singapore. When asked if Dyson was still a British company he muttered something about it being "global" and hurried off somewhere, presumably to look into how many more Brits he can offload before even the Tories realise something has gone wrong.
    ...

Arch Remainer Gina Miller has just said that Dyson makes about a billion pounds profit (she was talking about lost tax revenue).

The woman is an idiot. Can we ship her off to Singapore instead?

    She hasn't a clue.

OK, yes, it is R&D here mainly because we have some wonderful, R&D people here. He moved manufacturing long before Brexit anyway, like a lot of people did.

I was pointing out that he had decided against moving to your Utopia. If the us of e is so wonderful why isn't everyone moving there?

Mr Dyson knows which part of the world plans to dominate EV production.

It is a stated aim of particular countries out there.

The EU might adopt some protectionist stance, but it will not last.

Oh dear. Sir James' abandonment of the UK seems to have touched rather a raw nerve with some people.

Because he can move to Singapore and avoid paying all sorts of taxes, presumably. And that's Leave's Brexit hero in action.

If Brexit Britain is so wonderful, why don't people want to stay?

You mean the CAP subsidy given to him by the EU using money given to them by the UK taxpayer? Much better to cut out the middleman don't you think?
