The last person to make big money from shorting the pound was none other than EU loving, Gina Miller funding, George Soros. But because he's dug deep to fund the remain campaign, you'll find that OK whereas, on your planet, any foreigner allegedly funding the leave campaign is a reason to nullify the vote

I'm not defending him for making a killing at our expense but there's a difference between seeing a countries weakness and taking advantage and making your country weak so that you can take advantage.

I think that no is the simple answer to that one. My suspicion is that even once we've left, these same people will keep blaming every woe and every little bit of bad news on the UK leaving the EU regardless of whether it's true or not, just like they do now. One can only hope that the tone of their argument improves but I'm not hopeful.

I think that most people recognise that the UK will be significantly worse off financially as a consequence of Brexit once we leave. This isn't just those who wanted to remain as I'm pretty sure that Farage himself, along with other UKIP/Brexit Party people, has said that it will take 30 years for the country to recover financially. I have fully accepted that this is likely and have the means to cope with a cost of living rise.

I don't intend to moan about it if it does indeed come to fruition but my gut feeling is that a lot of those who voted to leave and are less well off will be complaining bitterly that it isn't what they voted for.

50% of people have an IQ below 50. What can you say? They were lied to and they believed what they were told. Many of them will do.

It must make a difference or you wouldn't desperately bang on about it.

There was survey last year where the average IQ of the leaver was in the high 80's, says it all really. Reading this board I now have few doubts that it wasn't accurate, the Remain average was in the 100's, cannot remember the exact figure now

IQ has no bearing when it comes to the level of common sense that someone possesses. Hopefully you don't treat your close family and friends in such a derogatory tone. Brexit is perhaps exposing the cultural rift that divides the country.

I'd understood that yesterdays 'Super Saturday' sitting was about Parliament approving the deal or not. Anything else is a delaying tactic pure and simple. But no, yet another superfluous amendment the Letwin amendment scuppered that... temporarily.

Well at least it enabled the voters to identify their local MPs true intentions. No wonder most MPs are running scared of the next election. That's when the real peoples vote will be counted.

You need to appreciate the difference between what BoJo thought it was about and what it actually was. It was a Bill presented by the PM for approval. It was amendable as any Bill is. BoJo ought to know that.

Just because you do not like Parliament doing its job does mean it was scuppered etc.

If BoJo learned to follow the rules he would have got his Bill though the Parliament by now.
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

In what way is voting for Brexit, "common sense"?

It's a complex issue which, I'm sorry to say, it best dealt with by people who at least have some understanding of what they are voting for. This, incidentally, is why it should never have been put to a plebiscite. We elect, and pay, MPs to make these decisions. There was no democratic reason to make this into a referendum. UKIP had one MP.

The job of Parliament is to form a functioning Government and if it can’t do that then go back to the people via a General Election in the hope that it can find one.
The current situation obviously suits the Brexit naysayers because it enables them to disrupt and delay the path of Brexit through the house.
Thankfully it seems that enough of the British electorate realise what is really going on and consequently BJ is hovering around 40% in the polls.
