Up to €20,384: 36.65%
€20,384–€68,507: 38.1%
€68,507+: 51.75%
In 2019 these four tax bracket rates (effectively three) will be reduced to:
36.65% for the lowest rate,
38.10% for the two middle bands and
51.75% for the top bracket.
On top of that they have a social security tax!0 -

In fact our highest effective marginal rate (where you have the taper of the personal allowance from £100k -£125k) - 62% appears to be higher than the highest rate in the Netherlands0 -

NI drops to 2% at the 40% income tax level.
So our tax rates are 32%, 42% % 47%0 -

If that doesn't work, search "Away With All Cars".
The ban on private cars starts with London, continues to the rest of the metropolitan areas, and would almost certainly involve the whole of the country. So basically stop people living outside cities, probably cover the countryside in inefficient wind farms and solar farms, basically making it a far less pleasant country to live in.0 -
When big U.K. companies were tailoring their employee attendance patterns to suit a workforce dependent on in work benefits, you know it’s a racket.
No wonder EU migrants were adding circa £4bn to the U.K. welfare bill.
Any idea of the cost of UK companies tailoring their UK-born employee attendance patterns?
More or less than £4bn?I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I don't think driving into a wall at 60mph would be as bad as having a bath in bleach, rolling in salt & finally setting myself on fire. Just in case you still haven't got the point this isn't a recommendation to go out and drive into a brick wall.
At least you seem to still use your common sense to acknowledge that no-deal brexit will not be as bad as WWII. If ordinary British people in the past could coup with WW2, let alone just a no-deal Brexit which will only have a short term impact on the UK.
And I have mentioned it many times Ireland will be much worse compared to the UK in the no deal Brexit. But the people there are more united. In the UK the people have undermined the UK negotiation power, tie up the UK negotiator hand.
The option here is that No-deal Brexit or the TM WA deal which will see the UK to be tied up with the EU, to become the sub servient of the EU under ECJ, to become a cashcow for indefenite period without having any say. Some people have described TM has turned UK to become a vassal State. In one of the Standard Article, Theresa May might have committed a treason, but it will still need a public enquiry. Glad this woman has gone now. So if the EU will not Budge with the current position blame the EU not the UK.
If someone wanted to having a bath in bleach, rolling in salt & and setting him/her self on fire drive into a brick wall then s/he will need to infom that to the moderator which in turn will inform the police to stop that happen.0 -
I dont even think a national Government would even be headed by Corbyn. More likely be someone like Ken Clarke.
There has to be a compromise to get Lib Dems/SNP/Tory rebels on board. And too many (including many within Labour itself) will just find Corbyn unpallatable to lead.
He may have to settle for a deputy PM (non) role
If Jeremy Corbyn is not trusted to be PM by parliament, how on earth is he going to win a GE. Effectively it is a case of the Labour Party saying their leader is not fit to lead.
It’d be the kiss of death for the old fella and his pals.
Much as I think he’s a reactionary old tosspot, his stance on this is entirely correct. He’s the leader of the opposition !!!!!!. How can he not be the replacement PM when he has 247 MPs under him.
All these rebel MPs need to realise that they don’t run things in Westminster. Sooner we get a General election to sort this lot out the better.0
