"Another bitter Remainer theory that the UK is now a racist and xenophobic nation totally debunked."
Well isn't it?
I cannot say I have had any problems with my overseas tenants, the over entitled British though give me constant headaches. Immigration enriches this country, far too many people are critical of it. And don't give me that rubbish about Britain being "so tolerant" etc, I suggest you open a few history book, and not too far back, I even suggest you might even learn something about UK racism in present affairs media reading.0 -

So mired in your self-loathing, you must have missed our flag being waved as a symbol of democracy and freedom in Hong Kong yesterday. I’m not sure your anecdotal experiences as a Landlord and how compliant your tenants helps your argument any.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

Sounds like yet another time served Civil Servant struggling to adapt to the new direction the British people have set. Easy to forget the left behind former pit villages of Northern England when you’re sipping cocktails in the Raffles Hotel on an expense account.I am a mortgage broker. And some of the areas who have gained most from EU investment are the ones with the highest votes to leave.

Corbyn has no interest in saving the Labour party just imposing his views on the country.
It's an internal election which will result in choosing the next Prime Minister of this country.
All the candidates (possibly bar one) are using it solely for personal advancement. They will say & do anything for a moment of glory. Even if it means ruining the economy.
Most of them know that it was a huge mistake in holding a referendum which reduced a massively complex subject down to a binary choice. But they can't admit it because it would be professional suicide. So the country has to be put to the sword to appease a small group of right wing fanatics who, along with the ultra rich, have persuaded the desperate & gullible that they have nothing to lose.
They have & they will.
And as an aside, I have a personal theory that Boris will somehow "accidentally" make sure he doesn't win this time so he can come in after the $#!t has hit the fan & can say that it wasn't his fault.0 -

The electorate are voting wantonly against the status quo. The handy thing about the EU referendum was that it was a binary question, no multiple party choices to water down the protest vote.
Part of the equation when I voted Leave was don’t put me and family through an austerity era and then expect me to make your life easy by supinely voting to remain in the EU.
I voted precisely for the sort of political crisis we are witnessing now and would do the same again tomorrow.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

Protesting against what?Part of the equation when I voted Leave was don’t put me and family through an austerity era and then expect me to make your life easy by supinely voting to remain in the EU.
What's Westminster-generated austerity got to do with the EU?
Remaining would make Westminsters life easier, sure, but it'd also make everyone elses life easier. There's nothing honourable about cutting your nose off to spite your face.I voted precisely for the sort of political crisis we are witnessing now and would do the same again tomorrow.
Why? What do you gain it?0
