Brexit the economy and house prices part 7: Brexit Harder

I commented on a tiny part of the documentary I had seen and caveated that by saying I hadn’t watched the rest.
But you do of course realise that TV or film trailers are designed solely to entice the viewer into watching the rest of the production?
They deliberately include the most controversial and/or exciting parts just to get your interest whether or not these parts are representative of the rest.
They are often known as teasers so should not be relied upon to be giving an informed opinion.
Not that I'm suggesting that this is what you have done as you continue to avoid discussing such matters.0 -
It's quite clear from what Nigel Farage said on QT last night that the Brexit Party are standing on a No Deal / WTO platform.
Who is voting for this?
How many people are there really who'd vote for a no deal Brexit?
(I'm actually starting to think that a large number of people in this country have gone crazy. It's like they've joined some mad cult and become brain washed.)0 -
Farage on QT again?
A quick google tells me it's his 33rd appearance on the show. Not bad for a chap who never made it into the HoC.
And headbangers moan about BBC bias.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

He wants to take us into the WTO with absolutely no trade deals with any other countries- NONE, NIL, ZILCH.
And the audience were cheering him. He's actually very scary.0 -

Compared with the consequences of, say, a Labour government, or the Climate Change Act, Brexit is wholly trivial. A million Iraqis won't die of Brexit, for example.
Brexit is central to who will be in power in future, so no not trivial, biggest political event in most posters lifetimes probably, so far anyway.0 -

No, the scary thing is that Project Fear managed to convince so many people that other countries won`t make trade deals with us after Brexit.0 -

He also said that his new party has no other policies. It seems that Brexit at any cost is the reality.0 -

And how long do you think trade deals take to do?
Especially when you have to do them with every one because you have none ...
What do we do in the meantime?
This isn't what was promised in 2016.0 -

Precisely.
I can't speak for other people, but I never said the UK would have been unable to do any deals, at all, ever.
The point is: when and on what terms? Like I said in my previous post, what is the bargaining power of the UK? Why should we get even only comparable terms to those that the much larger EU has been able to secure? As usual, these very basic questions have been met with a deafening silence.0 -

Most of the brexit voters I know would go for no deal.
They are successful intelligent business people and it’s not based on being anti-immigration it’s about being able to make our own rules.0
