European migrants contribute substantially more than they cost compared to non-EU migrants.
There are no benefits of the Brexit trend.
PS : And that's a fact, not opinion.
In general I’m not a big fan of outsourcing based on cost alone. It’s all a bit too short termist for me. I guess the question is what we need to do to raise the contribution of British citizens rather than just bashing them with a ‘you are rubbish’ stick.0 -
So when remainers insist that Brexit will be a disaster, are they offering an opinion or quoting a fact?
That's an opinion.
It's an opinion that I at least partially agree with although I think disaster is too strong a word. My opinion is that by leaving the EU, the country will be in a worse state politically & economically than if were to have remained.
I have came to this opinion after listening to business leaders, economists, scientists and yes, politicians who I strongly believe know much more about the subject than I do.
I have always believed that you cannot reduce a complex set of circumstances to a simple binary question. We do not live in a black & white world.
It strengthened by listening to Remain arguments which were little more than an appeal to faith or a nationalistic rally cry which invoked the "Spirit of the Blitz" and which said that we should not listen to experts.
I have seen the country move from being an economic basket case, commonly referred to as the "Sick Man of Europe" & regain it's place on the international stage as a world leader in research & development.
This is what has formed my opinion.
Now, Yours?0 -

PS : And that's a fact, not opinion. There were an estimated 29.10 million UK nationals working in the UK, 372,000 more than for a year earlier.
There were an estimated 2.27 million EU nationals working in the UK, 61,000 fewer than for a year earlier.

Brexit has undermined the value of the GBP and will in the short term make us poorer. It is self inflicted damage.
See this for a perspective for the £v€, it's not just Brexit. Stop blaming it for all.0 -
I work on the basis that everyone is entitled to have their own opinion about anything that is said by anyone else and that no opinion is any more valid than any other.
Whilst everyone has a right to express an opinion, not all opinions are equal nor should they automatically be given equal platforms. For instance, on climate change, it's hard to claim a meteorologist with a string of peer reviewed publications under their belt is almost certainly better informed than someone watching conspiracy videos on YouTube. Unfortunately platforms feel the need to give both equal air time despite one side being complete uninformed !!!!!!!!.
No-one is telling you what to think; you're free to have and express any opinion you want, as they are free to point out if and where you are wrong in their view.0 -

Quoting a post does not include previously quoted bits. I thought that was obvious.
Looks like to preserve the context of my posts for requotes I'll have to avoid quotes.0 -
When Leavers say we will ascend the sunny uplands of WTO and regain sovereignty toot sweet together with no more immigration, are they offering an opinion or facts?
That's more of an aspiration I suppose.
I've never heard anyone suggest zero immigration, more of a wish to establish a semblance of control.
The use of hyperbole seems to the defining tactic of the more rabid remain voter IMO.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0
