It's not invalid though, is it? The UK may be a net contributed to the EU (and booming from it), but the EU was spending money on projects and regions that Westminster just doesn't care about.

To the North, it doesn't really matter how much we send gross, just how much is spend in the North, and that figure is higher in the EU than out.

I'm not saying all of the EU spending was valuable, I think a lot of it was wasted with art projects and the like.

More bitter than death threats against MPs or old ladies who create petitions?

22 weeks will do it according to the electoral commission.

Yes, definitely more bitter. Too many people have made very public statements against solid sections of the populace and I wouldn't be in their shoes come a new campaign.

Without the cult religious tracts of the Remain cult religion this is what they come up with. It feels to me as if someone else is doing all the thinking for them.

That is exactly how remainers feel when they see leave voters placed in front of tv cameras trying to explain how they voted to leave the EU because their local industries collapsed.

    Truth hurts?

Seems easier to leave. Then hold a referendum on each section of the agreement in turn. As they'll never be consensus for the whole agreement in it's entirety. Follow the Swiss model. Then we can move away from poltical tribes that aren't representative of the wider electorate.

EU membership has hidden all the xenophobia building up in the UK, because all the time we were in the EU then there was little point in MPs standing on those issues. I don't see people being able to even think straight until that has died down, certainly the will of the british people isn't something that can be trusted any more.

Whether you agree with EU membership or not, it's clear that the method used to extract the UK from the EU and a large number of people who voted to leave are not good. If you don't see it then you're also part of the problem.

So the PM is talking to the Tory Party and not reaching out to others. Nothing new there then.

Where's Wally books are being retitled to "Where's Corbyn". Understandable now as to why he was never made a Minister despite decades of service in the House.

    He's in hospital apparently.

It's nice to see so many well wishes in the comment section from daily mail readers.

    Not the official line.
Labour have bizarrely justified Jeremy Corbyn’s no-show at yesterday’s People’s Vote march by saying he was “campaigning in Morecambe where the cockle pickers died”.

    Says it all.

There you have a fine example of emotive language containing anger and hatred directed towards a huge section of the British population which is a primary causal factor for the ill feeling between schools of thought.

Why don't you see that as a large "part of the problem"?

I suggest reading what you post because that's not what it says, which might be why Thrugelmir's post says what it does.

Your link says glasses are part of the treatment, and goes on to say:
'He is otherwise in good health, is on the campaign trail every week travelling the country, and runs and cycles regularly.'

NHS treatment is very often as an outpatient you know (that means you don't stay in a hospital bed ;) ).

    Ah a new strategy

A load of cabinet ministers + JRM +IDS, Raab, BoJo etc go to Chequers to come up with a new strategy.

So the PM is talking to the Tory Party and not reaching out to others. Nothing new there then.

I think it's like the bunker scene in 'Downfall'. They know the game is up for their 'no deal' brexit. They now realise it's May's deal or no brexit and Mogg, Johnson, Davis, Gove, Duncan-Smith etc have the job of explaining reality to the troops. May's deal of course is just going to kick the can further down the road because that so called 'Political Declaration' keeps all options open while we stay in the customs union until the EU grind us down and extracts a deal which suits them........while of course we pay for the privilege!

Perhaps you should travel a little more outside of this country. As your views appear somewhat narrow minded. Throwing dispersations around does you no favours either.
