I had a thought last night. I don't get many of them. Only one brain cell etc. Anyway what I get from people who voted to Remain if I challenge them is this.
1 The Leave campaign spread lies.
2 People who voted Leave believed lies.
3 Its not fair that our children and grandchildren will not be able to travel in Europe.
It nearly always comes in that order and it is always the same. It reminds me of a sort of handbook of a cult religion on what you say to non believers.
When I was thinking about this last night is made me wonder if there is a group of people somewhere who are trying to cause civil unrest in the UK for some reason? The information about the marches and all the pro EU groups are spread by internet. If the lady who started the revoke article 50 thing can claim her account was hacked there is no reason to believe that the pro EU accounts haven't been hacked.
To me it seems that someone somewhere is feeding a whole load of self centred gullible people the lines that they need to say when challenged.0 -

Shock horror news

UK is so polarised now, I wouldn't be surprised if this issue of leaving EU leads to serious unrest in the future.
That is surely not what anyone wants. But watch the space all the same.
Of course it is what some people want.
It's a power play. It's been like that for a while.
I don't believe in disruptive action which is ineffective. There are smarter ways to cause much more disruption. You can tune in to the usual places to have a read about them.0 -
...
As for Miller and Abbott, they've got loads of principles. Remind me. Where did Abbott send her kids to be educated? They are hypocrites like so many on the left with the 'do as I say, not as I do' attitude.
At least Abbott got elected.
I have no idea where the Miller woman gets her mandate from.
She is just some rich woman with no idea of life for 95% of the people in the country. True socialists should be embarrassed to be in the same room as her.
(But they are not true though, are they)0 -
What I have got in a post this morning from someone who supported the marchers was this.
Don't the people who voted Leave understand that they will get a vote in a 2nd referendum?
It quite conveniently missed the point of why there shouldn't be a 2nd referendum while at the same time referring to the arrogant superiority of the person who posted it.0 -
Another referendum would be so bitter, it would make the last one look like a tea party.
We would need a delay of a year to organize, meaning we have to put forward EU parliament candidates. I'm not sure the EU want that.0 -
I don't honestly know whether a second vote will help the cause of remainers
What will happen if (and this is a remote IF) leavers win again ?
Will we leave without a deal or will parliaments previous "no deal : no leave" pop its head above the parapet again ?
If, as I am fairly certain - Remain wins - the acrimony will start
Riots from with people who have no intelligence, biting off their own noses to spite their faces ?0 -
The problem as I see it is if you have a 2nd referendum and Leave win again that won't stop the people who want to Remain from complaining because if it was likely to they wouldn't be complaining now.
If Remain win then the Leave people will feel cheated because why should the 2nd vote count and not the first
So then we are into the best of three territory. It could go on forever.0 -
Just keep having new chances to vote until they get the result they want,Nothing has been fixed since 2008, it was just pushed into the future0
