Yes, she does deny writing it, and it was deleted shortly after it was written, when she claimed she found her account was hacked, in January.

The only papers I can find still carrying this story are the Daily Mail and The Sun. And even The Sun is printing the rebuttal.

    https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/8702416/brexit-petition-lecturer-threatened-shoot-theresa-may-facebook/

So back to what you think about the phone death threats and torrent of abuse and further threats she has received on social media for starting a petition that almost 5 million concerned people have signed. You think this is justified?

Its odd really... Of all the people who get hacked on Facebook this insignificant lady had people write on her account that she wanted to kill May? Why did they choose her?

She is a nobody so how the did the hackers think that their evil words would reach a large number of people if they used her hacked account to write them? Why not write them on lots of people's accounts to get maximum coverage?

Vile Brexithugs force lady who started the online petition to cancel Brexit this week into hiding.

Red faced scummers subjected the lass to multiple death threats via telephone, and, the right wing thugs weapon of choice, a torrent of internet abuse.

The ugly face of Brexit and it's supporters.

The unpleasant face of Brexit. Someone exercises their democratic right to raise a petition and just because 5m agree, she gets death threats. Shameful! But so typical of the reactionary right.
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

Yes. This is the lady who threatened to shoot Theresa May and debated online how to make weapons before marching on parliament.

Those who live by the sword.....

    Evidence would be appreciated

I think it would be possible to get death threats on the internet just by offering a different opinion. There are some seriously nasty people about.

The thing about that petition is that there aren't 5m people agreeing because it isn't secure enough to stop people from signing it several times. People are also signing it who don't live in the UK and there are no checks that they are UK citizens either.

However when you look at the distribution map of the UK it resembles very closely the distribution of Remain votes in the referendum so it has quite nicely proved that the referendum result is still the wishes of the people of the UK. Most of the people signing it are in London and the South East with the rest of the country not signing which is more or less what happened in the referendum. Most of the people who want to remain appear to be based in or around London. This tends to make me think that they want to remain for personal reasons not for the good of the country.

Don't know. Maybe she said it, maybe she didn't. She said she didn't when it happened and it was deleted shortly after being posted, several months ago.

She isn't in prison or banned from Twitter unlike everyone else who has been found to have made death threats against the serving Prime Minister.

Why don't you have a go at saying that threatening people with death because they don't want Brexit is wrong? Give it a try. You might like it.

Brexiter's are fairly lukewarm on evidence for their beliefs.

Evidence would lead to being an elitist expert and they hate those.

    'Brexit means Brexit!'

Sure. So... does 'Cheese mean cheese'?

    'We voted for cheese!'

    Ok. What sort? Cheddar?

    'Cheese!'

    Feta?

    'Cheese!'

    Parmesan?

    'Cheese means cheese!'

    Yes, but... halloumi?

    'We want cheese!'

    Brie?

    'We voted for cheese!'

Do you want your cheese with a serving of backstop sir?:rotfl:

No cheese is a dairy product that can be produced in many varieties. Same as there are many types of dog and cat, many types of apple, grape, beer, car, aircraft, muppet etc

Again just to remind those that seem to forget. The referendum asked should we leave the EU:

No mention of cheese, no mention of Sweden or Norway or Switzerland type arrangements.

Just a straightforward binary vote "Remain a Member" or "Leave the EU?"

Offered, voted, majority decided, Parliament passed Art50 legislation.

    Lets crack on now:T

Could someone please explain why those people who took part in the march today think that they are so special? It comes over as some sort of cult religion. "We know the truth everyone else believes the lies." It sounds just exactly like a cult. It makes me wonder if there is a cult type leader managing all of the Remain groups from somewhere hidden in the internet. I mean if someone was wanting to kill democracy in the UK this would be a very good way of doing it?

The irony is that the people who are accusing the Leave voters of believing lies are now going on marches because they themselves believe lies and untruths from these media groups who are controlling the marches. You couldn't make it up.

The fact that that march was taking place on Saturday was spread on the internet. If you wanted to create civil unrest this is just the way to do it. You just need a whole bunch of gullible people who don't realise they are being manipulated but have an inflated sense of selfworth and a tendency toward selfishness arrogance and superiority and you have just the right people to do it for you.

There are so many of these marchers posing in press photographs and selfies you can see that they aren't there for any other reason than for themselves.

So on one side you have this and on the Leavers side you get well researched reasons for why they voted the way they did. The replies to which are nearly all of the new cult religion "you believed lies."

The UK now has a new cult religion probably called Remain. The motto of which is "You all believed lies only we know the truth."

After the next general election. Will there be constant demands for a re-run of the vote. As the "wrong" party was elected.

Where was Corbyn? Conspicuous by his absence yet again. No wonder the HoC is in utter shambles. Where's the opposition leadership to provide proper debate.
