More bad news for the Brit's attempts to maintain control of Gibraltar post-Brexit.

I would say a power sharing agreement is inevitable at this rate. Certainly Spain will veto the (now quite desperate) British pleas for a trade deal without considerable retreat on sovereignty of The Rock.

You think the U.K. will cede part sovereignty of Gibraltar as part of a mere trade deal with the EU?
You don’t know your own country very well.

Of course, we can send our mighty navy, the world's 32nd most powerful, inbetween the powerhouse of Qatar at 31 and the behemoth of the UAE at 33 in sheer firepower, and that will send the Spaniards scurrying back to... wherever Brexiters thinks Spaniards live. Trees probably.

Spain said on Friday it would allow its British residents to stay on if Britain leaves the European Union without a deal, giving them until the end of 2020 to apply for permanent residency and making it automatic for many.

Oh Dear.
You think just the number of vessels in a navy is an indicator of its “sheer firepower”. Such was your desperation to talk down your country you’ve made yourself look a tad foolish.
I know enough about the U.K. to say that it would willingly sacrifice a trade deal with the increasingly economically moribund EU rather than betray the Gibraltarians.
