On the practical front, once you find yourself living alone in the house don't forget you'll be entitled to a 25% discount on your council tax.
Put the saving in an emergency bank account IN YOUR NAME ONLY.

Also could you ask your employer if you could increase your hours? . It might help combat loneliness if you're alone in the house and also possibly allow you to afford to buy your husband out of his equity share if you need to take on a mortgage.

The other thing is to think about taking a lodger. Are you in an area where there is lots of employment where you could perhaps advertise for somebody possibly just staying during the week so your weekends are free?

OP is not alone in the house, she has a 21 y/o son at home. CT Student disregard will not apply once he leaves full time education..
OP, go and get some financial/legal advice. It's not up to your husband to tell you what bills you can afford or how long you can remain in the property. The financial split is a matter for the court to determine.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
