Thank you. If I don't start posting what I need to I might as well not post at all!

In other exciting news I just reconciled YNAB (slow work day...) and realised I paid the monthly DD to T MC today :j Just my professional fees to get reimbursed and Hubs will pay the rest tomorrow and then all of my monthly payment will pay him back without paying any more interest :D
    26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%
    28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%

    Quite a productive day:
    • tax return done and filed. Apparently HMRC owe me 40p... Will stick it in the SPC then if it ever appears lol
    • Hubs made the T MC payment. I'm just waiting for it to show up on the app then I will update signature to show just professional fees left. I can then add him as a creditor to track the £3k I owe him. I think there will be maybe £30 of interest on the next statement and then it will be done with and used only for house spends and cleared weekly.
    • Agreed with new employer that I do indeed have the Easter long weekend off even though I only start with them 15 April :D
    • Did some work

Tomorrow is my Friday off and I need to:

    • Investigate home insurance quotes as current provider has put premium up £70!!! Thieves!
    • Finally decide on a new bank account. I want to be switched before I change employer.
    • Investigate Monzo/Starling/Revolut as a personal spends account
    • Finally do a food inventory and meal plan so I can do a shopping list for Saturday
    • Clean through downstairs (utility, kitchen/dining/family room, hallway, front lounge, front door area and cludgy)
    • Put on a load of washing or two (bedding and towels probably)
    • Give a cooking lesson
    • Research longboat crossings by Vikings (yes really, you did read that right :) )
    • Eat breakfast, lunch AND dinner and drink plenty water.
    • Breathe...:rotfl:
    • Run and lift weights

I'm worn out just typing that lot. I'm not even going to think about the weekend's list or I'll put myself off!

I will run (weather-permitting) right after I drop the spawn off and do some weights before breakfast so it is done before I have a chance to think bout it too hard.

Have a great weekend when it comes and I'll see you all on the other side :)

Happy new diary Lucifa - consider yourself followed!

Good plans, good structure in place, good work on the tax return, good plan to keep the Tesco CC and use it for spends but set to clear off each month - actually I should quote :money: himself and say "pay it off IN FULL" shouldn't I! :D

Running is about to happen here - but it's flipping FREEZING and even in winter leggings it's still going to be cold. :(

Happy New Diary :D I'm off to find your old one to have a read.

I echo the others post as much/little as you want. We all have our own reasons for being here and each one is just as important as the next

Friday was a bit of a bust because I went to friend's house for lesson and another friend was there so we ended up blethering for over an hour before any cooking even started... She did a great job though - so much so her husband doesn't believe she made it herself :rotfl:

Saturday got off to a healthy start with a family park run. It was littlest's first ever proper run, he was youngest (6yo) in the field by a good year or two and he loved it! He didn't run it all but managed the vast majority all without stopping his constant cheery chatter and with a massive smile on his face. I ran with him so didn't really push my limits but it was nice to be out and active. We run around one of the properties used in Outlander so the views are lovely. Should also mention that it was NJ's 3rd park run and he completed it all without stopping (including an absolute BEAST of a hill at the 3 km mark) and improved his time, finishing second in his age group. Hubs, who has to run with him as he's under 11, is a little concerned NJ is now looking to go sub 30mins...

Running was followed up with a driving lesson. Apparently I just need 'polishing up' which means i need to find a way to practice more between lessons so am hopeful that I will get a licence this year.

The rest of the weekend was spent cooking and doing usual housework. On hte food front I made a slow roasted leg of lamb with gravy and crispy potato bake. There's enough left overs for dinner tonight and maybe even a Moroccan style cous cous pot for lunch on Wednesday. I also put a sausage casserole into the slow cooker for the kids tonight and our lunch tomorrow. Thursday will be homemade chicken and veg pot noodles and Friday will be pork and peppers. Saturday will be a shopping day after park run but before driving lesson so I will do the next 7-day plan then. This is all written up in my lovely little planner which makes me smile :)

On a money front, relatively little was spent over the weekend. Hubs treated us all to coffee and bacon rolls after the run. We were planning to go to Mr T's but decided we had plenty so put it off. Hubs is planning to go today or tomorrow so that should save some ££s :)

In conversation with a friend the other day I learned about amazon subscribe and save. On looking into it I found we could cave a few £s (even allowing for my staff discount) on cat food and buy larger bulk packets so we have set that up and I have put reminders in my diary to compare prices a couple weeks before each delivery.

Other than that, nothing to report. I desperately want to update and reconcile YNAB but having left my phone at home this morning will have to wait... Apparently I am more addicted to YNABing than I thought...

Have a great Monday! (Seriously could not be worse than mine...)

Excellent list-bashing there Luc! And way to go on all the running stuff too - our local one also has a beast of a hill but it requires doing twice - wanna swap?! :rotfl: I seem to have set at least one parkrun as one of my February challenges so it will most likely end up being the local one too - bleurgh!

Erm let me think.... I'll pass thanks :rotfl: I did the RFL10k in Edinburgh a couple of summers ago - twice around Arthur's Seat - 3km up 2km down then repeat. Never again! Spartan was preferable!
