Another nsd under my belt. Managed 4 last week so want to match or better that. It’s my younger brothers birthday this week and I’ve got absolutely no idea what to buy him. I’ll spend time researching common themes but he is one of those has everything types.

Really trying to up my swag bucks this week too but I’ve remembered how monotonous I find surveys. Must try harder.

  • Morning :D Jeez I've woken up feeling under the weather again. Darn this bug wish it would go away!

I had big plans for today that included going to the allotment for a few hours. Am going to have to see if that is a possibility as the day goes on and hope I feel better...

    Things for today:

    * onepoll
    * apply for new bank for golden hand shake :D (partly pay off my share of the new sofa :D )
    * get something out of the freezer for tea - will be something simple
    * a good few hours of sewing today
    * madam having free universal school meal & going to an after school activity (so I get an extra hour :D)
    * knitting
    * take pup for walk x 2

That's all. I might even come home for a nap after dropping madam at school

Stripped a bed and put in on to wash
Put food in slow cooker, used up a sachet I found in cupboard that I wouldn't normally buy
    Made a cake
    Checked banking
Cheapo porridge all round for breakfast
    Washing shuffle on radiators
Left overs for us all for lunch :D
    Vacuumed through

    Still to do:
Check January's to do list and see what I can crack on with
See what I can add to February's list
Post a fleabay sale from last night en route to work
    Make hot drink for commute
    Sew up smalls scarf
Print some stuff at work ;) have sent myself and email

Have a good day folks. Purps.

    Morning all!

Hugs to all the poorlies and high fives to those who are feeling sprightly!

Some of you may remember my ongoing dizziness/vertigo issue. Well it's still there, but I might finally have found a diagnosis. Dr Google has been better than the actual doctors here. It's quite a new clinical definition so I'd not seen it before but it completely fits my story. Essentially my noggin is oversensitive and can be rehabbed :)

    Today's mission:
    • B/L/D from stores - done
    • Go after work to pick up niece's bday gift. Money from gift pot. - done
    • Gym at lunchtime - done
    • Charge phone in work - done
    • Write up a couple of recipes into new folder - nope
    • OH to do housework - done
    • Put washing away - nope
    • Show OH tins of mackerel as they are a change from tuna for him and cheap :money: - done
    Have a good one all

    Morning all,
Feel a bit lacking in energy this morning - have just had another coffee & a little healthy snack to try & get a bit of oooomph into my day.
    Today's frugal activities:
*Cheap overnight laundry on heated airer.
*Bed linen changed & loaded into washer for another overnighter on Economy 7 tariff.
*Do my mid-month budget check-in. Receipts, budget book, calculator, etc, all at hand, ready to start.
*Write letter - will be using a recycled envelope. I was given a huge wodge of large white sticky labels which were no use for my jars of preserves, but have enabled me to recycle tons of envelopes neatly.
    * A portion of the soup I batch cooked last week out of freezer for mr f's packed lunch tomorrow.
*Get my seed box out & see what vegetable seeds I have in stock & what will need to be bought. Make a list.
*Index my recipe box. This has been on the Annoying Jobs list. but will now be sorted out, While clearing out my little HQ room, I found a pack of unused high quality card index dividers in lovely bright funky colours, so I will use those & get the job done. It will be much quicker to find what I'm looking for when I'm doing weekly meal plans.
*Knit more of 2nd sleeve. It's growing nicely.
I don't think I'll have time for anything else, as I have a meeting tonight & need to do a little bit of prep for that, but if I do find an hour or two spare, I will be continuing with my HQ clear-out.
Best wishes to poorlies.......& to everyone else. I'm amazed I haven't had my usual new year lergy. A couple of nights I've thought I'm going down with something, but have been fine the next day. I paid for a flu jab, but that doesn't stop non-flu lergies. Fingers crossed this might be the year I avoid being laid low for Jan or Feb. Thought now I've said that, I'll probably be struck by some mad virus just ready for Easter!

  • I also seem to be lacking oomph this morning.
Have a meeting tonight which I am yet to prepare for.

    Banking all checked-everything good
Quidco checked-logged in a couple of missing transactions
Sorted out some of DDs things that she doesn't want ready to go to the CS tomorrow.
Have dealt with some frogs which have turned into more frogs!
Rang dentist as tooth starting to fall to bits-they have got me in for an appointment tomorrow.
Missing kitty now home also having teeth done tomorrow.
Received a voucher from RM surveys and a free roll of sellotape. They are also sending out January incentives that were missing from my packs.
Need to prepare a RM item for tomorrow.
Need to pick up more cat food from Tesc@ where it is cheaper.
Finished off the last of the Christmas Turkish delight last night. Determined to buy cat food only and no more sweet stuff
DD has picked me up more very cheap wrapping paper from Tesc@ at uni. Sorted out space last night for the extra bits bought cheap ready for this Christmas. Forward planning as when surgery goes ahead I will be out of action for a few months unless further surgery required (really hoping this wont happen).
2 items donated ready for a charity auction next month which will help with decluttering but raise vital funds
    Cant think of anything else.
Have a great day everyone x

    Afternoon all,

Hope all the poorlies are feeling better soon.

    Todays list
    * ds1 had ys bread as usual for breakfast done
    * ds2 to free school breakfast as usual done
    * gym session and refill water bottle done

    * called into the little shop on my way back and picked up some ys salmon done
    * wash a load on the quick 30 degree wash done
    * radiator shuffle ready for ^^ to go on when the heatings on tonight done
    * run the dishwasher on the quick wash done
    * clean kitchen using stardrops
    * make families lunches for tomorrow
    * decide on what to do for tea tonight and then sort out a meal plan for the next few days as I'm unorganised on this at the minute done, I have 4 little wraps left so doing a kind of chicken fajita for the kids and dh and I are having our filling with some cous cous I've prepped out of the use up box.
    * check off mrT cc done
    * check banking/update spreadsheet done and changed another dd date to make things easier
    * meeting another friend tomorrow in town, see what else I can do whilst there from my jobs list. done, shopping list done, gift card earned through swag$ in my bag to use in the coffee shop, ds1s watch as it needs a new battery - bought a lifetime battery so just need to take it in - no additional cost
** paid for dss's judo course, doing it in a block booking gives us a small discount.
** spoke to dh about spending as after checking the CC off, we've had quite a few little bad habits creeping back in, picking up little bits at the servce station, or an extra coffee out etc, there was about £45 of un budgeted spends on the cc. He's on board with getting a grip as he's wanting to replace his car sooner rather then later.

Thats my start, have a good day all.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
