Thanks. Needs a more complicated engineering extraction. The tweezers have fallen through a narrow slot in closed position and then opened up in their final, dark resting place. Will try again tomorrow in daylight.

  • Hi my famous friends! :rotfl:
Well deserved mention for the thread this week! Am sorry that I have been MIA... I did place an update but on the turtles thread in my fevered confusion! :wall: I had a horrible bug this past week that has really wiped me out, complicated by being away from home for work when it struck. Totally miserable and exhausting time of it. Read along when I could (eyes didn’t like the screen much!) and you cheered me up!
It was me asking after the recipes for lentils last week - thank you everyone and clf for going above and beyond. Look forward to trying that out soon!
I was glad of last weeks cooking session as all meals this week, when they have been had, have been from the fridge/freezer. I haven’t had much of an appetite at all but cooked with DD a few nights and we did well at using stuff up that was just on the turn! Haven’t really dug into the use it up box yet but am very aware of what’s in it. Have been using the large stash of white easy cook rice we found and preserving the whole grain rice I much prefer for days when I can taste, for example!
There have been many HWB and bowls of steaming water this week. :) and I have used up all manner of cold and flu drugs I had stashed away, so stock rotation has occurred. Had just enough to see me through with a few donations from my m-f lodger who felt sorry for me!
    Other mse things...
Have been reading loaned books and watching a couple of programmes on tv - a bit of a rarity for me as we have an ancient telly and not great laptops for catch up tv. I only really wish this was better set up when i’m ill and then go quite happyily for a few months without turning it on again!
Did PAD on days I was able to be online, just little TT. Realised it’s probably more of a priority to tackle one card over the other but head wasn’t quite up to checking!
Have doubled up on lodgers this week by moving into DD room while she’s away on a trip, a previous long term guest is back in town just for a few days and so this works out well for all of us. Have reinvested her cash in a online delivery for the end of the week from o&ado - they have finally started to deliver to our postcode so there was a welcome offer! Have stocked up on staples and heavy things. Need to check a few things to see if they are cheaper than local stores. Let me know what you like from them!
Into the week ahead folks! Hope this weeks momentum carries you forward! X
