    Hi January Joy-Seekers,

Afternoon!:coffee: Not in work today. I crawled off my Elf Shelf at <coughs> 12:30. :o Fabulous ice hockey match last night that went on longer than usual. We took drinks and a snack but diabetic DW had to stroll off an buy crisps at £1.50 a bag before the last period as we hadn't brought enough food with us.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Four:

    * Check online banking. Done.

    * Lunch is toad-in-the-hole with veg and pureed swede instead of mashed potato. The swede has been in the freezer for too long. Done.

    * Continue my Challenge 500 miles challenge to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming. Will cycle a short way later. Walked 1.9km. Better than nothing.

    * Finish reading secondhand book from local bookshop.

    * Read free magazine from charity I support.

    * Figure out a way to fish out tweezers from a gap in the floor they've fallen down.

    * Check loyalty points. I am 99.7% of the way towards getting a £5 Morrison's More voucher. Should receive it on the next shop.

    Afternoon all :)
Up early this morning to go to a localish market / flea market. Bought some business bits at the flea market, and got bargainous cheese from one of the market stalls (almost 2kg for £5, all vacuum packed in smaller quantities). Got Double Gloucester and Edam this time, bcause this is what they had. Dated to the 31 Jan, but I have frozen most of it. Also got 3 packs of posh sausages for £5. Two packs are now in the freezer. And lovely, big, sweet oranges :) Not sure why you can buy nice oranges from market guys but the supermarkets hardly ever have nice ones?

    Other things:
Listed some items on ebay, one sold almost immediately :)
Cheese on toast for lunch, unsuprisingly :rotfl:
Biz paperwork re flea market spends, food items on household spreadsheet
Lamb roasting in oven for dinner, we will be having swede, leeks and red cabbage out of the freezer with it - along with roast potatoes of course! Also make an apple and quince crumble, using fruit from the freezer. DD, GD and my brother are joining us :)
RM surveys stuff to get ready for the coming week
    2 ebay parcels to pack

Glad to hear that CCL is feeling better :)

Glad CCL is rallying. Rest is the best healer for these viruses, isn't it?
Pleasant day here - the frugal bits are as follows:
*Mr f cleaned our hire car by hand as all four local car washes had frozen!
*Leftover crumpets from freezer for lunch.
*Made bread - currently in the oven.
*Home made soup out of freezer for tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Christmas turkey slices & gravy out of freezer for tonight's meal - also some of the braised red cabbage with apples I batch cooked last month.
*Washer loaded for overnight laundry on the cheaper tariff.
*All curtains closed at 4.30 to maximise warmth. V cold night forecast here.
*As my jumper is finished (am wearing it!), have started my 2019 knitting challenge - details in my dfw diary update.
*mr f has continued with his ongoing major decluttering project whichnis sweet music to my ears.
Ok, think I will read by the fire for a while. Ziggy - I started that book - what a coincidence it was in your pile too. Anyway, I've got straight into it & it's intriguing. Like most people, I don't read crime for the gory detail, but because I like to try & solve the puzzle before the detective. I like a challenge though.
Enjoy your evenings, Icicles - try to stay warm. If anyone in your household is complaining it's cold & isn't wearing a jumper, do sort them out pronto, lol.
    F xx
