Wow, the situation is changing rapidly re work. Have had several emails over the weekend about new procedures and policies in some of the Agencies I work for and have spent much of today replying, arranging appointments and changing arrangements to online or phone meetings.
I've mostly been indoors over the weekend, just popped to the high Street briefly on Saturday to get some sweet potatoes and a butternut squash as they are fresh veg that doesn't go off quickly. Some of the family including the tiny humans are in self isolation so won't see them for a bitbut we can at least Skype. If I do have to self isolate at any point, I've at least had some practise as when I had the knee surgery, I was indoor for 6 weeks each time. I was mostly alone though people did pop in a couple of times a week. I also had big old furry boy to talk to and miss him for that and much else besides!
My big invoice still hasn't been paid, will try to find out why during the week as the manager has been on holiday. I've been thinking that I might do a BT from my 'supposed to pay it off in full card' which is not 0% as even with a fee, that will be less than the interest over a few months. I can then keep as much money as possible in my CA to pay bills and DDs over the next few months. I feel a bit fed up with that as was enjoying finally seeing the balances reduce but can't be helped. I need to consider that I may have very little income over the next few months and try to find a way to manage that. I'll still have to pay my office rent every month even if I'm not using it and that's quite a chunk of money each time.
Got some veggie sausages cooking in the oven so after I do a work phone call shortly will cook some tatties and have sausage, mash and veg for tea - comfort food.

Hi Teapot, glad to see all's well - your clients sound very proactive about the virus, thats good to know. Still a good idea to rearrange finances, though, but what a pain when you were doing so well.

Well hello, I haven't felt up to posting for a bit but hoping to be back. I've been trying to get my head around the new 'normal' we are living with and that seems to have taken all my brain cells
I'm very relieved to say that much of my work is continuing online. I've lost some of it for now but feel very fortunate to have any work and income when so many have lost theirs. I've been doing various courses and topping up my knowledge and skills for working in this new [to me] way. I've got the weekend off and am very pleased about that as have worked every day since the lockdown started and there seems to have been loads of admin to do with moving everything online.
I've also been cooking meals that take a bit longer than my usual fare - normally if a recipe takes longer than 30 minutes from beginning to end then it doesn't get a look in. I've also been doing a bit of baking [mainly because I ate all the biscuits]. That's another thing, am eating lots!
I managed to get an online delivery booked which will come on Wednesday [it will be nearly 3 weeks from when I tried to book and that was the first available one]. I don't think I'll be able to book any more though. Luckily lots of the small independent shops and businesses around here are delivering and most don't have a minimum order and some have closed to concentrate on this as their premises are small. I've had one delivery of fresh fruit, veg and a few other bits. I'm very grateful for this service though the downside is that its all considerably more expensive than my usual shop but needs must and on the positive side I'm not spending any money on lattes and cake.
Anyhoo that's enough waffling for tonight so will sign off and do the last bits of washing up.

Very glad to hear from you teapot, thanks for that. Good luck on the delivery - you might want to check what they *can't* deliver, and up the amount of other stuff/ put new items in - I ordered my normal monthly shop 2 weeks ago, and in spite of going through the "replace what they can't deliver"twice, only half of what I ordered came through.Great to hear that you've got at least some ongoing work.2023: the year I get to buy a car2

Thanks Karma, I had a look at whats in my virtual basket yesterday and its gone down by about a third
. I wasn't able to update it as that can only be done in the two days before delivery but I did search to see what was available and was pleasantly surprised so will edit it once I can. As its likely to be the last online slot I will be able to get for a while I'm going to order what I can that will not be perishable without any mad stockpiling.
