Was meant to be having a coffee with family before heading to work but that got cancelled as they had to do playgroup cover with thirty 2 and 3 year olds!  So did a bit more on that work report before I left, I completed a £4 Prolific survey  during the bus journey, usually they are not mobile compatible so was chuffed that one was.  Posted the online sale when I got to the city, was a lovely morning and quite warm in the sun so I even unzipped my jacket B)  After work I went and collected my L@keland order of moth deterrent thingies.  Then had a coffee and pastry at P r e t was surprised to see they use disposable cups and paper bags even if you sit in.  I dread to think how much waste there must be every day as that's a city centre branch and is really busy especially at lunchtime.  If I'd known they did that I would have taken my reusable cup in with me :/  Think I'll contact them to find out why they are doing that.

My bus arrived quickly so I had time for a quick shufty in the charity shop near work before going for a meeting which finished early as we were low numbers so got home a bit earlier than usual, around 8pm -  result.

Summat weird going on for me in this forum, the only way I can post is to be signed out then get to the page I want to write on and then sign in again otherwise if I'm signed in and go to the last post I get a message telling me my request can't be met.  Bit of a faff.  No idea what that's about.
Anyhoo, went to physio on Saturday as I have decided to try and improve my mobility.  The NHS physio I saw after my second knee surgery wasn't great, she was more interested in telling me what she'd been doing at the weekend than giving me exercise and advice.  She signed me off after a certain amount of time and more or less said it didn't really matter if I was struggling with stairs as at least I could get about.  I can finally afford to see a private physio occasionally so that's what I'm doing.  She was helpful and reckons its my calf muscles that need improving so she has given me exercises to do a few times a week.  I need a kick up the bahookie to get me going so hopefully this will work.  After that I went for a coffee then had a look in the charity shops, a walk on the beach and a big ole ice cream yum.
Sunday I chilled out then suddenly remembered I had agreed to finish a report for work and send the draft off so spent the rest of the day writing in between catching up on housework and making soup.  Report has gone and hopefully there will not be too many amendments.
Had hoped my big invoice would be paid last week but it didn't appear in my account which is annoying as all the CCs will be due soon and I was planning to use that money to pay them.  Am hoping it will be paid in this Thursday so fingers crossed.
I did a Pinecone at the weekend and have been paid for that already so transferred the money to PP@l, My energy bill email landed this affy and am still in credit which I'm relieved about.  The monthly DD for energy goes right down next month as it'll move onto the summer tariff. On a less positive financial note, the council tax bill for the coming year also arrived and that's gone up by over £5 a month and Sky emailed to say they are putting the price up by £2.50 a month so might have to haggle there or leave.

Thanks Fortune, I hadn't thought of that as just assumed the 'new' Forum was being glitchy.  However as my OH used to say 'never assume' so, cookies cleared and normal service resumed B)

Been doing me a think and made some decisions.  I'm not convinced re the promises in the budget of financial support for self employed people who lose income due to Corona virus.  The system struggles to cope with UC applications already and will there be a five week wait for a payment.  Also if lots of DWP people are off sick, there are unlikely to be enough staff to process existing paperwork never mind new applications.  I'd be happy to be proved wrong but am not holding my breath.  I suspect that a lot of my work will dry up temporarily even if I'm not unwell myself. As I'm only beginning to recover from 2 years off with very little income, I haven't been able to build up my emergency fund again.  I'm thinking that when the work payment I'm waiting for eventually reaches me, rather than pay off my 'pay it off in full credit card' as planned, I'll pay something towards it and leave the rest in my CA to pay the minimum on other 0% CC and bills such as council tax and energy in the next couple of months.  Am hoping this plan will tide me over and there will also hopefully be a bit more money to dribble in from invoices.  Does that seem like a plan?
Have an online shopping order from Mr T coming tomorrow evening, got £11.50 off £60 order so have tried to buy a few things I can keep in the freezer in case I have to stay at home.  Also got a few tins for the cupboard but no panic buying :o .
Cashed in £15+ on Prolific and have had a couple of decent surveys in the last few days - one for £5+ and one for £4 both of which have been approved already.  Got feedback on the work report I completed and no amendments are needed so am chuffed with that.

I'd better go and do the washing up and get myself organised for work tomorrow.  Its really cold tonight and there is frost and ice forecast so I'll need to leave plenty time to shuffle gingerly to the bus stop in the morning

Thanks Beanie, the predicted ice want there when I got up in the morning so was pleased about that.  We do have a bit of a micro climate here on the coast and there was frost and ice in the city apparently.
