Definitely a party in this neck of the woods too!  Plus seeing farther-flung rellies, in the Wirral and London.
Loving the sound of your methods of keeping the cats off your seedlings - thats the kind of thing I do, when my dishwasher died last year, I kept the shelves and upturned them to protect some areas I'd just dug over.

Oooh - good idea - we still haven't replaced our dead dishwasher so I can use the wire-y bits to protect some areas from cate - fab!

A bit more done in the garden, I have to keep an eye on where the elderly neighbours are though as they have a wee sitooterie which is right beside the wall and if I'm working on my flower border we are not 6 feet apart!
Had quite a bit of work related admin again and feeling a bit more motivated today I cleared about half of my to do list.  Pleased to have done a few things I have I've put off since lockdown started.
Had an epic fail with a new recipe, it was inedible despite me following the recipe and although I really don't like food waste I had to put it in the food bin which gets emptied tomorrow.  Thinking about it in retrospect, aubergine, molasses and quite a bit of sugar amongst other ingredients is really not appealing [insert vomit emoji].
On a whim just before I went to bed last night I decided to log in to the various supermercados where I have an online account.  I was really surprised to get a slot at Tosco, its not for another 3 weeks but it means I can replenish my supplies depending on whats available at the time.  There was a full days slots available when I booked mine and after I checked out I had a look again to see what was available and all the slots had gone so I think I was really lucky to get one.
Was out again at 8pm to clap, I find it quite emotional seeing most people in the crescent joining in and waving to each other.

I think its underestimated a lot of the time about where people are in their gardens - I'm lucky with mine at the back, no one seems to use their garden during the day, but walking past other houses (yesterday on an exercise walk, for instance) several people were just near their front wall, so would only have been a couple of feet from me.
Shame about your recipe!  I bought an aubergine in my click and collect today, seen a bbc recipe slicing it and dry frying it, eating it like a steak.  Seems similar to the way my Chilean friends used it, here's hoping.

Nearly another week done depending on when you reckon the week runs from or to.  I've been a bit up and down this week and have been waking up in the morning feeling apprehensive though that has faded during the day.  Haven't been for a walk very often this week but have spent time in the garden and also done some exercise indoors.  Just finding it hard to get the motivation to be going out for a stroll.
Today Skyped with a couple of friends and family popped by briefly when out on their walk.  Was lovely to see them at a distance but the tiny human wanted to get out of their buggy which of course wasn't possible - sad :'( , I wonder what they will remember and think about this time when they are older, they are too young to understand at the moment.  I gave them half of a cake I made yesterday, a yummy cherry and almond on, well saves me eating it all :D .
I'm missing seeing all the blossom on the trees in the city this year, but at home my tulips are slowly opening, the wallflowers and sweet william are very colourful and the violas are still looking cheerful.  I was sitting at the table by the window yesterday and saw some movement out of the corner of my eye, it was a wee sparrow collecting bits of nesting material some of which were longer than its body and had to be abandoned.  Definitely a reminder that life is going on regardless,

Sorry it's rough for you right now, teapot - watching birds is really important I find, including the sparrows finding a local dust bath :) and I often look out my front window late at night with the light off - seen a fox twice that way recently.
