Have stopped giving myself a hard time about that, I am on my own and managing, holding down a job that supports other people as well as paying my bills, paying attention to my MH trying to find things that nurture me as well as learning new ways of carrying out my job in the face of huge uncertainty. We are all doing our best and trying to find a way through this

Bit embarrassed about my post on 23rd, wasn't meaning to 'big myself up' more a bit of self talk forgetting that other people could read it
Ah well onwards...…….
Have had quite a few Prolific surveys over the last few days so up to £16 on there once they are all paid. Completed a Pinecone survey yesterday so waiting for that to be paid. I also heard from one of the train companies to say that they have approved a refund for a long delay in February. I'd forgotten all about it and its only £6 as the ticket was bought with a rail card but it all helps.
Definitely cooler here this morning but the sun is coming out now, might get out in the garden later and I've got a climber that needs to be tied up to the trellis as its just flopping around and one bit has attached to the nearby violas eek. I've also got some bits of online courses to finish so might try to get those out of the way.
I've run out of muesli so had porridge for breakfast with some blueberries and a bit of the rhubarb I stewed with orange and cinnamon - yum. I have plenty of oats at the moment so that will be my b'fast of necessity going forward. Lunch is some scotch broth and sourdough bread from the local bakery. Not feeling very focussed today so will look at my list to see what I might be doing.

Er, what? Unless you've since deleted it, that one on the 23rd was more "wavery but full of quiet determination and optimism for the future". Though I'm confused about "MH"Please, please, don't be embarrassed about anything you wrote, I love the way you write!
Edited to add: Oh. MH, as I've seen from greent's post below, is "mental health". Which I used to know. Argh.

Another one who thinks you weren't bigging yourself up in any bragging type way - we're all getting through this the best we can - and I've said from the start that mental health needs to be a huge priority both during- and after - by many. MH provision is sadly underfunded - and I'm not sure that will get better after this - but I'd like to hope people will at least be more aware xI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £203

Thanks KC, Fortune and greent - your kind words are much appreciated xx [still can't get the multiquotes right
].
I agree about mental health greent, that's the area I work in and I also think the need is and will be huge. I know that before lockdown, lots of services had very long or closed waiting lists. There will be a lot of trauma currently being experienced on many levels.

I tied up the climber to the trellis yesterday and did a bit of weeding in the front garden. When I was out I realised how dry the front border is as some of the plants were visibly drooping. 4 watering cans full later they look a lot better so will repeat that later today. Also watered the back garden thoroughly especially the pots, I've prepared a few pots to put some veg seeds in. All my indoor seeds have germinated except for one but I'll give that a bit longer. They are all 'fresh' seeds from packets I bought mail order in a sale before lockdown.
Didn't get round to doing any of the online course yesterday so will see if about that today but if not then tomorrow....
I defrosted some falafels I made ages ago for tea last night and made coleslaw with red cabbage, celeriac and carrots - very yummy with a creamy dressing. Some coleslaw left to have with my lunchtime sandwich. I have a mozzarella to use up and would usually make parmigiana but that's a bit of a faff so have found an easy recipe for a no yeast pizza base and will try that for tonight. I've never made a pizza base as its not something I eat at home very often. I've noticed a lot of my diary is focussed on food, thats what is important in my bubble just now.
I heard yesterday that the local council is going to do a garden waste bin collection over the next couple of weekend which is very good news, 'my' weekend is the first one so will put the brown bin out on Friday evening. Looks like they may do that on an ad hoc basis when they have the staffing levels.
Have done a Prolific survey this morning, its a covid 19 related one as many of them are at the moment. That's the 5th week of this research, a few of them have been ongoing and pay quite well.
Anyhoo, better get on, Skyped family earlier and saw the tiny humans for a bit, screen waves and kisses blown - tiniest human called me on her toy phone as well- very cute.

Seeds! Yay - lots of my marigolds have 4 leaves, and I have a single, solitary kale seedling
I'm glad you're doing well, and that you *have* got food you like - it substitutes for a lot of other stuff, doesn't it!
