I renewed my passport early last year, as I was planning the Norway trip - I managed to take my own photo, through the time delay switch on my camera (though I've forgotten how to do it again). The passport people are *really* good at keeping you updated on where your application is within their system, or they were then, anyway.
Hope the work goes well tomorrow.
I don't have a camera these days, just my phone and that doesn't have a very good camera on it
Yes the updates are still good, went in to PO on Wednesday and got a text today to say that my new passport should arrive in a couple of days - very speedy :cool:0 -
Another very warm day today, I put the recycling out before I went to work so another load of shredding gone :j
Was glad to get home today as it was so hot on the bus even with windows open. There was a nice breeze from the sea when I got back though. Sat in the garden reading for a while before tea which was very quick. I roasted loads of veg a couple of days ago and mixed it in with couscous so I had some of that, a tin of tuna and some salad leaves from the garden.
I've watered the garden and all the pots the last few nights as its been so warm during the day.
Going to see what money I can put towards debts over the weekend and I need to start building up my emergency fund again after the roof situation. I think I'll use my online selling account to pay for my new passport. There isn't much in there as its been raided a few times already but should be enough to cover that. Some financial musings to be done over the weekend0 -
Thats a shame - we could have had a mini meetup
Yes, we could
The last MSE meet I was at a few years ago was in Edinburgh.
We stayed in a travel lodge & went to the Christmas markets & had a few sherberts. A mixed weekend, was my birthday yesterday and my second without OH and was really missing him. Had birthday tea at niece's which was really sweet of her, cake and all
. Helped bath the wee ones and read a bedtime story.
So as the song say, 'another year older and deeper in debt.....':eek: sigh
I've been having a think about my financials again over the weekend so will post my mutterings soon. I've decided not to do any matched betting for the moment and concentrate on other areas so have withdrawn the money I had in various exchange accounts etc.
Off to do an invoice for biggest part of last month's work and have a cuppa plus bit of leftover cake
Edited to add, my passport popped through the letterbox this morningexcellent service - less than a week for renewal and I like the photo

Oh teapot! Well, happy birthday wishes for yesterday - I can understand it's rough without DH there
if this is the 2nd birthday, you're in the 2nd year, is that right? Often harder than the first, is what people tell me. I'm glad you had your niece to be with, a good family low-level intensity day.
Your financials sound rough - but if you don't feel right about the matched betting, then you're right not to go for it, no matter how profitable it can be when it's done to the formula. We're at the turn of the year, which is a good time for financial mutterings, so I'll keep an eye out for them. Hope your day is a good one.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Happy Birthday Teapot, I am sorry it was tinged with so much sadness. Sending you a dodgy hug :grouphug:
It might be worth posting about your financial issues on here if you feel comfortable doing so, a few fresh pairs of MSE eyes might be able to help x0 -
Sounds like much fun
