Argos agent swearing on the phone ...

  • As someone who worked in a call centre for some time, I'd LOVE to see what's on your customer notes now ;) it will be incredibly polite but incredibly honest ;)

I really hope the poor employee still has a job.

  • I think some people have too much time on there hands and complain about anything in the hope they may get compensation. If they did swear yes its out of order but sometimes people have bad days. Time to move on

Sure, there had been some great feedback by some decent people :)

Anyway, the case is now closed, I got a better offer and is all good.

So you bullied them into giving you more? It was always about how much you could extract out of them if you are honest wasn't it?

    I bullied them?? How, did I ?
Only by asking them the copy of voice recording and asking to escalate the case further?

If this is what you call bullying then .. wow, not sure what else to say to you.

Yes, it was all about "admitting to their mistakes, apologising and make a reasonable offer".

    End of story.

Was it a king size bed with 4 drawers?

Perhaps they were just repeating back your order as they typed it into the computer in short form notes. “Four King...”

No, they didn't. They didn't get more, in fact I'm fairly sure this whole thread is made up. Even if it's not I've no time for posters who repeatedly ignore questions put to them and even less time for posters who dismiss anyone who disagrees with them, no matter how right they are.

If (and it's a huge if) it is all true then Argos are massive idiots.

Anyway, I'm out. I suggest everyone leaves this thread to die out.

The only idiot in this case, is yourself mate by aggregating this and not knowing the facts.
I do ignore people like you but just thought to make you aware about it.

The thread was real and now the case is closed.
I got a better offer and you can cry over it if you like.

People are upset because ultimeatly the only people who end up paying for your recompense are the customers. That is us, and yourself included. Lets behonest, the directors arent getting a £!00 pay cut, the shareholders arent get any less. The poeple that lose are us, and the employess whose wages (a cost) are reduced as much as possible in order to maximise profitability.

I think youre english seems brilliant and im sure youll know the phrase 'cutting your nose off to spite your face' this is what your doing because you got upset you heard some naughty words.

£100 is great for you now no doubting, the reality though is youve paid far more than this in your lifetime offsetting such expenses to companies. Theres a bigger picture at play which youre just not seeing.

First and foremost, thanks God there are people like you who do not say "ah get over it, so what... bla bla bla" without even considering the whole situation. As per the phrase, yes I do get "angry" specially when I know that I am right and others claim it to be otherwise, furthermore denying everything and sticking to one story which Argos has done. Yep, I agree, there is not much I could have done because (sadly) that is how the system works...

Yes, I was frustrated even more on the fact that they were constantly denying everything and ignoring my questions. But anyway, this thread can be closed as it's over now :).

I feel sorry for the Agent (a young girl) if she has lost the job but if the job was important to her then any foul language should have been avoided or there will be consequences out of it. We all get angry at work and if I would be using foul language then surely HR would be taking me through disciplinary action.

    The End.
