Just updated my Wynn app , it was difficult to get rewards before it has suddenly got much harder

I'm guessing it has been too easy in the past, as it looks like you now also have to have a certain level to redeem, and the levels expire over a time period as well so you have to stay very active to stay on a level to redeem for rooms. I've probably not got the strategy right though, and I kept losing my multiplier recently even though I swore I was spinning within 24 hours.

Oh, editing to add weather info....it was nice in LA, but in Palm Springs it was baking hot, as was Vegas for the first 5 or 6 days of our trip. .

Thank you VV !! Reading that keeps the smiles for me! Our pad (AirBnB) for the night on the 28th is in La Quinta / Palm Springs !
I soooooooooooooooooooooooooo look forward to stuffing my face with pizza whilst soaking it up in pool / tub whilst sinking a few cold beers in super heat ! :D ! :D:D:D:D:D

I'd imagine it stays hot into November in Palm Springs area. Maybe you'll get to see Joshua Tree. I recommend the outlets at Cabazon as well. Print one of those things to get a coupon book at the outlets. Destination Coupons I think. This trip they wanted to take it off me though instead of circling it at each of the outlets, which wasn't great as I only took 2 with me.

    There's no need to imagine...

I read on facebook that some wait staff in the top restaurants get $40 to $50 an hour in tips.. thats not a bad wage, so dont feel bad, of course in lower end places it will be less

It’s probably more than that. Take us, MAG meal for us comes to about $100 with drinks, we’re there for less than an hour. So for coming to our table maybe 2 times I’m supposed to leave $20ish tip?
How Amy tables does a waiter look after, probably 5-8 at a guess, some spending more, not a lot spending less. I’m guessing the waiter getting at least $100 an hour, which he of course shares with bar and kitchen. And MAG is not even high end
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Don’t forget to still tip on top of all the fees.

Vegas has changed so much in the 20 years I have been going, none for the better

Advise is to tip before fees, so just for the food and drink. An easy recover is look at the tax amount, double that and that’s what you tip.

hey peeps, although Dollar is still utter rubbish, compared with a few days ago, its looking better! Buy rate of $1.22 today , as since 7am, it gone up almost a cent.... (trade rate at $1.24)

I know it don't sound much, but I am a kind of tightwad, and given the amount I change, it can make a difference a cent here and 2 :D

Here's my plan (as long as VA don't strike in 2 weeks time!)
La Quinta / Airbnb house (Palm Springs) - 1 Night
    The Aquarius / Laughlin - 1 Night
Downtown Grand / Freemont St - 1 Night
    Luxor / Vegas - 4 Nights
Then home with ideally some money, or busted just like in June with less than a dollar to my name! :D:D
1 things for sure, I will come home bigger! The food joints are already in the planner!!
Are you going to Lake Havasu City or Oatman? Both near your route and worth considering.

Original plan was to leave La Quinta (Palm Springs) early morning, and drive the scenic' ish route (avoding interstates the best we can), and heading to Lake Havasa to grab a Burger at Burger by the Bridge, then get upto the Aquaruis by 3pm so we can get some sunshine tan time for a couple of hours! :D

However, re-thinking my plans, so we either go straight to Laughlin, or still do Lake Havasa just so we can get a Selfie (to say been there! ), then head upto Laughlin, but as Lunch would be missed, plan is to get to Bubba Gump for aroun 6:30pm to make the most of the bar menu happy hour, and grow a bigger belly with the fooooooooo goodies!!! :D:D:D:D

This maybe a really stupid question, but how do these airlines work our prices.

I am already pricing up a trip for June 2020.

Flying direct from London in premium comes in at £933

Flying from Newcastle - London - Vegas (same flight from London to Vegas as above) - £745?

We would normally get a train to London and stay over night but it seems silly not to opt for the connected flight unless I am missing something?
