  • Turns out Thomas Cook use the D Gates at McCarran, not the E Gates at Terminal 3. A new one on me as I've always gone straight to Terminal 3.

How do they get people to Immigration? Dont want to be one of the first off to find out Ive got to share the people mover with everyone, is there a walkway instead? If not, where is best to get on the people mover to ensure I get the quickest getaway at the other end to Immigration?

Very strange. There is no way you’ll be allowed on the people mover before clearing immigration, are you sure they use the D gates?

I use D gates as all the time with AA and can’t remember any gates that don’t just let you out into the main concourse. There is no passport control there either
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I wasn’t aware of a Wynn Casino app.

I downloaded it 2 days ago, and I am on 120...it’s going to be slow going by the looks of it.
Problem is if I bet on the lowest amount it takes ages for the gem count to go up...if I then up the bet to next option 50-80,000 per spin, I am soon out of coins.
I guess some people are hitting some decent wins to maintain coin balance, but collecting the bonus and wheel spin doesn’t add up to too many to play with.
I have over 900,000 lp on Myvegas,so don’t need to play that anymore, so I guess I’ll persevere with the Wynn game and see if I can get anywhere near a free room or two for next years trip...all hotels already booked for next months visit...not that I’d have anywhere near enough gems by next month for a room at the Wynn.

I started it and pretty much gave up with it as its so slow to gain points, like you i kept running out of coin.

rooms were only 1k ish a night at first, some are now 10k

mccarren website lists 6 airlines that use D gates at terminal 3

    https://www.mccarran.com/Terminals

for 5 of them it says this but doesnt mention Thomas cook so wonder if its a mistake

*Air Canada Frontier Hawaiian Sun Country and United use Terminal 3 for Ticketing/Check-In and Baggage Claim but will operate from the D Gates concourse which is easily accessible via an Automated Transit System located on Zero Level of Terminal 3.

    Thomas Cook page:

Boarding at D gates, so one assumes passengers are let out there also?

Anyway, looks like I have found out now...

    https://www.atkinsglobal.com/en-gb/projects/mccarran-international-airport-international-gates-expansion

Underground tunnel linking the 8 new international gates in D to E.

If you search Facebook for the Wynn Slots app page there is a tutorial video on there that shows how to gain gems faster :)

I've seen the use of Facebook groups mentioned etc, and I personally used to reference BrighterVegas for news etc but a lot seems to have changed (as always).

What do people use other than this forum to keep on top of Vegas news now?

At 1am last night, we booked the return leg of our outward flight to YYC.... and (despite all I thought / felt about Vegas last time I went!) it leaves from LAS ;)

So I've now got a serious interest in doing some catching up on changes that happened :)

I use MyVegas Friends Rocks facebook page. Although it has a special interest in the MGM properties, but if you are playing MyVegas and using the comps, then a lot of that will be of interest to you. I suppose it covers about half of Vegas these days!
