Can anyone help me with an idea of prices please? I went Vegas over ten years ago and I feel like a lot has changed.
Me and my partner are looking to go in November (any dates) would ideally like two weeks if poss, flying from any London airport.
I would prefer to stay on the Strip unless anyone knows a nearby hidden gem.

No specific budget, just looking for a good deal.
I’ve had a little look but it’s sooo high. Maybe it’s because of the time of year, thanksgiving or something I really have no idea.

    TIA :j

Provided there is no big scheduled boxing match or convention in town I would suggest booking flights and hotels separately.
If you have not already join Mlife or Caesars rewards - with Mlife play the Facebook game - you might have enough time to get some comped rooms.

As for hotels, I'm seeing quite good prices on Priceline just now. Express deals can usually be identified easily. Venetian, Cosmo, Bellagio etc are all showing up at reasonable rates.

I have been trying to post for the last 10 mins. For both this and the previous page, I have used Advanced Reply, refreshed and reloaded using F5 umpteen times. Eventually shut down the browser, ran CCleaner and can now reply.

What sort of rates are you seeing for the Cosmo and Venetian? I'm not up to date with what the going rate or a good rate is at those hotels.

    Thanks.

A heads up for anyone thinking of visiting at the end of April/beginning of May next year.

The NFL Draft is in Vegas 25-26 April - high room rates.

Cinco de Mayo weekend is 2 May and there is always a big fight that weekend- high room rates.

There is an Excessive Heat Warning this week, 10.00 Tuesday till 20.00 Wednesday. It is forecast to be 105-110F in the valley. 107F for Vegas for Wednesday.

Had to laugh at the info on my weather app. "Impacts - Due to our cooler than naormal May, and lack of time to acclimate (sic), heat related illnesses ....."

Welcome to MY world, and anyone from the UK, particularly Scotland. It's a high of 52F at the moment where I live.

The weekend has been cooler, at 97F. The weatherman suggested "turning off the air con, opening the windows and getting out to enjoy the cooler weather". That might sound daft to us when it's "Taps aff" at anything over 61F, but it really did feel a lot cooler and pleasant for walking.

Lyft had been going swimmingly, until Ride No 7 on Saturday from the North Outlets back to the hotel. Suddenly there was no wifi, and load of people were struggling to get a signal. Tried data on both phones, nothing. Got there eventually and called a ride.

Lyft 1 - accepted and cancelled almost immediately.
Lyft 2 - Automatically allocated and accepted. He cancelled 1 minute later.
Lyft 3 - Automatically allocated and accepted, arriving in 8 mins. Which over a period of time went to 5 m, back to 8m, was 15m. Up and down like a YoYo. I could see him near the Strat not moving. Then the car turned round and took a different route. Then stopped dead. As an inexperienced user, I didn't want to cancel and be charged for it. HE eventually cancelled after 30 mins. I guessed there was a problem on the roads, but couldn't get the traffic info up on my phone. There were loads of cabs, but I would have sooner walked (or got the bus) than a cab.
Lyft 4 - Had to request this one. Arriving in 5 mins and he did. And he was fantastic. Full of info on what is happening right now in Vegas re Resorts World, etc. He said a large section of the I-15 was closed for resurfacing. He got a good tip.

I was charged for Lyft 2 which was refunded within 4 mins of contacting Lyft, but needed another message to get the promo credited. That 1 minute ride shows in the Ride History as somewhere on W Harmon with the correct destination and a distance of, wait for it .................... 5.07 miles! In just over 60 seconds. Must have thought he was Superman.

Eventually got back approx 50 mins after the original estimate time. If that had been my first experience of ride share, there wouldn't have been a second.

Has anyone ever stayed in places like Circus Circus, Excalibur or the Strat?
They are just so cheap and I’m so desperate to go bk, I’m thinking you only sleep there and they must be safer than motels? Would you not recommend? Tia xx

Whatever makes you think motels are unsafe?
