Thing is whatever credit I had left at EE will have been pretty much used up during the high usage Ovo period .
I'm in the same boat. My DD was taken by EE on 6 Jan, that day before they went bust. I then cancelled it. I had more than enough credit to pay for the 2 months since.
Not paid, nor been asked to pay anything for my energy since then. I was holding out, waiting for the final invoice but couldn't wait any longer and signed up to EDF last week. Hopefully this will go through before the large OVO price rise.0 -
Looks like EE "mischief" has carried over to OVO. I entered my first gas reading last month. It was 6380, they sent an email confirming this.
I logged in this morning to enter todays reading, turns out they have 5887 as my reading for last month.
Not much of a difference !0 -

I suspect it's what I speculated about OVO pushing back EE's readings to recoup money EE have to cough up. Has anything happened with your electricity readings?0 -
The electric is out but only slightly the other way.0

From the report at Companies House, it appears that Economy ended up £67 million in debt. Of the 250,000 customers, 150,000 were credit customers who are owed an average of £240 each. OFGEM is owed £27 million.
Remember when we were highlighting the irregularities and Economy Energy told us that it was "misinformation" and that OFGEM would be paid in full?I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".0 -

Hi folks, looks like this thread has been quiet for a while which is hopefully good news for everyone that switched to Ovo from Economy Energy.
Has everyone had their first bill from Ovo yet? They e-mailed me on 24th Jan and said i'd have my first bill from them "in about 6 weeks" which seemed incredibly long time for them to take... Anyway here we are NINE weeks later and STILL they haven't provided me with a bill.
Presumably everyone got the e-mail about the tariffs going up a few weeks back? I had already instigated a switch away from Ovo a week after they confirmed my supply was now with them, so today i've just had another e-mail to confirm that my switch away from them is complete and they'll take ANOTHER SIX WEEKS to send me my final bill! They don't rush these people do they? How can it take so long? Surely everything is computerised now so no human interaction required!
Anyway let me know where you guys are at with your first bills please.A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

I have commented elsewhere on OVO's "indicative statement". I think that OVO has got itself into a state of confusion given its errors in dates, tariffs, prices, conversion factors and arithmetic. All communications are full of errors.
I understand from OVO that, having called for ex-Economy customers to provide metre readings at 30 January 2019, they have produced estimated readings for 12 January 2019 (which may differ from real readings). OVO has agreed on readings for 12 January with Economy's receiver.
Smart meter readings appear to be an irrelevance.
I do wonder whether something has gone wrong. I would guess that there are data quality issues or missing data issues. Perhaps there is a wrangle going on between OVO and OFGEM.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon.
