It can't be underestimated how much difference a cup of hot chocolate, a read of the paper and some peace and quiet can have on a very tired mum! Thanks for helping with the boys yesterday, you were a total star. :A

    Morning

Happy Anniversary Donnygal sounds like you are celebrating it in good style:j

Feel great today as I went to bed last night intending to watch Have I got news for you and whatever else was on and fell straight asleep so ended up with about 10 hours:eek:
Got to work today icon9.gif and its the sort of work I hate - the adminy stuff. Had a great day yesterday though up in Perth on a sales call - the weather was gorgeous (but cold but really clear) and the views from the buiding of the company I went to see were just amazing. Never been to Perth before so I am definately sold:T (good job really as I could be spending a lot of time up there if things go the way I want them to;) )

Still no news from my kitchen fitter so I think I am going to have to go in to the company this weekend and have a word - only problem is I am now really stuck for days they can come round when im here - so annoying.

Lots of washing to do today and it looks like my TD has died so will need to get another one quick sharp ready for winter.

Right best get something done I guess
    Hugs to everyone

    Morning Gang. :hello:

    Lovely day here today.
Have dropped Miss Twit at school for her netball match, she is going to get the bus home and meet some friends in town afterwards.
I called and bought some more soap powder for work and dropped that off before I came home. Got to keep the troops in supplies. :D

I have got fruit soaking for my christmas cake, but I will have to borrow a tin off MIL as mine seems to have gone AWOL. I keep adding more alcohol to the fruit every time I walk past it. ;)

Have a great day and hope any poorlies are improving.

Hi - just sat down with a coffee.

MRSMIX - years ago, when my hands first started hurting due to tendonitis, I put most of my dust-collectors away. I have very few out on display now and I don't dread dusting nearly as much. DH has promised me a big glass-fronted display cupboard one day; then I'll get them all out where they won't gather dust!

MR AND MRS DONNY-GAL - Happy Anniversary - have a great day. Your sight-seeing sounds great.

JANNYANNIE - Yes, thanks for the recipe. I printed if off this morning and will definitely google for some more. Many thanks!

Well, I've made some flapjacks, some scrummy yummy slices and a chocolate cake. My sweet-toothed SIL is visiting tomorrow so that should keep her going!

DH has popped into the neighbours - they have a leak around their chimney. Mr has got bad arthritis so DH will be able to fix it for him, I hope. Then DH needs a jacket for his outdoor painting job so we are going to hunt round the charity shops for one. He won't pay new for one that will get covered in paint and it's too cold now not to wear one. We'll have lunch out so that will save me cooking; we'll have flapjacks and custard for tea. Will call in to see DS2 and his GF on the way home - really, we're visiting their gorgeous new kitten but we'll say hello to them, as well. I've got loads of Christmas presents for the kitten, already, and I'm going to knit some mice for him, as well, so he'll end up with more than anyone else!

Well, the weather is lovely here. Sunny and breezy, great for the washing, but a bit cold. I hope it's good for everyone else. I know some areas are having problems. We're really lucky here on the south coast.

Well, off to wrap DIL's birthday pressies now, so see you all later. (((Hugs))) to all.

There is a thread somewhere on here on making your own butter.

Think it involves a clean and empty coffee jar with lid and reduced price cream and then shake like mad!

Washing is on the line outside and one DD is at work. Another (13) has just gone out to York with a friend. Third has just gone shopping with me for a few bits and pieces and remainig DD has just come back from uni for the weekend!!!
Might make a huge lasagne tonight but will see what will fit in with DDs plans as I want to spoil her a bit while I get the chance.

DH is happy if I make home made soup or anything "traditional" with loads of veg and gravy. Have to keep pointing out that as the main oven is broken and I have to manage to cook for six with the small top oven he is lucky he eats at all! Do not want to buy newstuff as we hope to move but the market is stagnant at the moment so will not hold our breath!

Will take DH out later for new slippers as the ones he has are "open backed" and he keeps falling up the stairs.

He accused me of trying to kill him but I pointed out sweetly that "No, that is what the rhubarb leaves are for!" "Wonder why they stopped selling them!"

To anyone reading this who is appalled - I am joking! Honest!

    Hugs to everybody.
