Thanks NMC
I'd like to say don't worry but it's easier said than done isn't it. These are very unusual times for us all that's for sure and it's going to get worse before it gets better. You won't be the only ones who are worried about finances and keeping your home so hopefully the government will do something to try and at least alleviate those fears for people.
What are men like with cards. I once got a Mother one when the DC's were little. I felt about 100 years old lol. Laughing at the lube mistake and imagining the looks on everyones faces who'd bought one then realised their mistake - it if was a mistake of course.
Hope you're managing to find most of what you need in the shops. That's an added pressure for a lot of people as well and needs handling much better although I'm not sure how. Take care of yourself. xx1 -
Thanks Tea its all so surreal I still can't believe this is happening, it has made me wake up and realise how lucky I am and thankful, whilst not knowing what will happen tomorrow taking it day by day. I have the upmost respect for all those out there on the front line, human kind is amazing.
Friday again, I continue to work from home, the girls are home with me and our normal policy is that you can't work from home as an option for child care but work are being flexible with this policy at the moment so I am grateful. However, not much home schooling going on 10 mins here and there, work is really busy so today as my day off we are going to spend a couple of hours today. The girls have been taking the advantage of the weather and playing in the garden. I am sad we cant see my mum but the girls have been Face Timing her and we will do it again today we have spoken this morning shes keeping in touch with family.
We are running out /run out of the essentials, bread, milk, fruit, OH called on his way to work.. I am going to get the girls some fresh air today so going for a walk to the fields near us. Having to explain why they can't play out on the street with their friends can't see their nanny, go to school etc.. isn't easy but we have watched the prime ministers speech and had some chats about how important it is to be safe.
I am determined to conquer the ironing pile and change all he beds today too.
Take care and stay safe

Hi NMC
I'm glad your work has been adaptable. I've been reading so many stories of people who are still having to go in despite their jobs not really being essential. Wonder if there'll be any come back on these companies in the future.
I've posted this on another diary but honestly I think a bit of reading, writing and maths every day to keep their brains ticking over is good enough. No way are teachers going to have the time to wade through all these work sheets they've sent home that are supposed to last for weeks/months. They'll have enough to catch up on as it is when we're all back to normal. Let the girls have some fun while they can especially while the weather is nice. You never know, if it's raining next week they might happily sit and do some work - who am I kidding
Hope you manage to get the bits of shopping you need. My last delivery is next week and after that hubby will have to venture out. DD is home as well now so that's another mouth to feed - but that far outweighs the stress of her not being home and possibly falling ill.
Have a lovely day. xx

Hi Tea,
I am very lucky, some companies will put profit over people but on another note people will be anxious about not going to work for the financial implications its awful situation for people to be in and the stay at home message at this time is not having an impact on everyone. I have certainly had a wake up moment in relation to what is important and saving over spending on nonsense. The money wasted over the years could have alleviated so much anxiety I am feeling right now but can only look to the future not back but it has brought it back home.
I do feel I am failing my children in the home schooling today I am going to plan for the week for them there is only 10 days worth to take them to Easter but they will need to catch up with some reading and online activities. We have been given the answers for my oldest's work which is good
I have thrown in the towel with online delivery even a collection is a no go. We have plenty in just fresh things so OH is going to go on his way to work in the morning and pick up what we need.
Take care Tea and enjoy your Sunday x

Hello Sunday
Well as of today I have 13 NSD's in March, on Friday I ordered a birthday card on moonpig for my niece a spend of £4.19 but its her 21st and gutted for her she can't celebrate it. I am going to transfer her some money this week but this is already in my "spending plan". I have put whatever I haven't spent on travel to work into my envelope for food as I am finding that the most expensive brands left on the shelves/freezer any surplus I will transfer over to next month.
Going forward any money not spent on travel, petrol, school dinners, brownies, gym will go straight into savings. Car tax and insurance is due July so would like to pay in full for both.
Have a lovely day

Hi NMC
I bet this situation has made a lot of people realise even having a couple of weeks worth of shopping money in the bank and a few extra bits in the cupboard would have helped. But we live and learn don't we. Some people think we'll live our lives differently after this but I'm not so sure. There's going to a lot of financial catching up to do for a lot of people
I sent hubby and DD out yesterday for some bits that haven't arrived for 3 weeks now on my delivery and they managed to pick most things up. Still no eggs though!
It's a shame about your nieces's 21st, there'll be a lot of major catch up celebrations happening when all this is over.
I've read a few people are getting their children to do things like the PE session with Joe Wickes? and also getting them to write a diary. I know i started off quite fancying the idea of playing teacher but have already given up that career dream lol and I bet I'm not alone.
Have a good day and stay well. xx0 -
