Morning NMC :) In the freezer  On the plus side keep telling yourself that the rice thing probably wouldn't have worked anyway. :o

Sorry to hear you're feeling down. Sometimes these things happen for no real reason and we just have to ride it out. That's a long list of things to do. I hope you're not going to feel worse if you don't manage to cross everything off it :o

The weather probably isn't helping either. Constant rain is no fun at all. I hope you manage to get out for your walk, a bit of fresh air always works wonders for me.

Have a lovely weekend and look after yourself. xx

    Thanks Tea

    Bless my mother :rotfl::rotfl:

I do and you are right I think everyone has them from time to time I just don't like the feeling it scares me a little too if I am honest. I purposes spread the list over the weekend - I was just going to do it for today but then had the feeling overwhelming feeling so adjusted it.

I haven't walked as much either this week and you are right I think as I walk so much it really does help but this week I have come home and got my pjs straight on and even stayed in the office a lunch on wed - I never do that I always make a point of going for some fresh air.

Hope you are having a lovely Friday xx

  • Just realised I didn't record Tuesdays spends

    Tuesday
    Lunch with team - £8.00
    Chocolate - £0.55
Dinner and drinks with friends - £11.25
    Total - £19.80

    Wednesday - NSD
    Lunch to work

    Thursday - NSD

    Friday
    Phone Case £3.89

So according to my spending diary (get me !!) I have had 4 NSD's since 1st Oct.

    4 sleeps to payday :j

I have been reading lots of other people's diaries over last few days so impressed how they build up their savings when paying debt and planning for the future.

I am 45 in January, I have no savings, I am worried for my retirement. I have 2 pensions one I froze many years ago (at 28 had since I was about 23) and one which I froze in 2013 (started in 2006) when I went part time and had 2 maternity leave absences in 2 years why didn't I adjusted not compensate!! another one of my regrets..... I am considering joining the work pension and perhaps combine them all together.

Anyway going to have my tea and watch a bit of murder she wrote. :)

    Have a fun one

  • Hello Saturday

Quite a busy morning - decided to brave A!di for a few bits not the full weekly shop in any stretch I like to get my fresh things Sunday but it was quiet. Then returned a jacket for oldest and picked up my new phone. Popped into M&S and got my favourite soup which is like a meal and some rice noodles, weighed myself at Boots, met OH and the girls in Morribobs cafe for breakfast and lost a £5 note at some point in my errands

Aldi - £13.39 (chicken, yoghurt, cheese, babybels, mini rolls, veg, this has come off the food shop budget)

Aldi - £4.32 (milk, paracetamol, crisps and Chinese chicken kit - this is for tea)
Boots - £1 - to be weighed, and told I am nearly at overweight BMI and my body fat % is Poor !!
    M&S - soup and rice noodles £4.00
Morribobs cafe : £4.10 - coffee and poached egg on toast.

Total spend (excluding food shop budget) - £18.42 (which includes lost £5!)

Gutted I have lost some money I am just gormless at times how i did it I do not know just mad with myself.

After cooking tea last night we came to the last of kitchen foil and can't see the washing up liquid lasting all week so my weekly shop has come in at £61.93.

Did some calculations on how much less I would get in my wage if I joined the company pension scheme and this is doable it would be £120 less per month what I am paying for the debt this could be my pension. More reason to tighten the purse strings and pay off asap.

No further spends necessary for today or tomorrow.

OH is taking the girls swimming , I am going to take the dog for a walk and then go and meet them there.

    Have a fun Saturday

  • Hi NMC just wanted to cheer you on, sounds like you've really got your eye on the ball at the moment. How frustrating about the £5 though :(

Hi NMC :) Boo to the lost £5. I hate losing things, leaves me with a really odd feeling.

I can just about cope with numbers on the scales. I think I'd go into complete meltdown if I also had to face up to BMI and body fat % etc. :rotfl:

I think just short of £62 for your weekly shop is brilliant. I'm still not getting mine down very much but I'm not going over the budget either these days so that's a start.

    Have a lovely week. xx

  • Hello Monday :-)

Just checking in whilst having a brew.

Well after another sleepless night with the dog, I did get some ironing done this morning but could of done better. My pooch wasn’t great this morning so worked from home until my mum came was all ready with my lunch then ended up leaving it in the fridge !! So popped to m&s on route and picked up a meal and a soup for tomorrow so NSD and LTW fail !! I am out of the office and going straight from home in the morning so will have today’s planned salad for tea tomorrow with a jacket potato x

    Monday spends

    M&S - soup and meal
    Total - £5.50

    Food tracked for the day

One sleep till payday - meeting my colleague for Coffee in the morning so it will be a small spend. Soup is already in the fridge at work just need to
Pack my fruit in the morning.

Early start for us all tomorrow so I have prepared oldest’s pack lunch, girls uniforms and school bags are ready. Don’t know why I don’t do it every day !

    Best wishes

  • Hello Wednesday ....

Busy couple of days would be nice to have a good nights sleep but hey ho it is what it is.

Payday was yesterday which was welcoming (as always) Round up over last couple of days

    Spends - Tuesday
    Breakfast/Coffee with colleague - £6.70
    Grapes / Drink / Roll - £4.40
    Total - £10.10

    Lunch to work no 3

    Spends - Wednesday

    Drink / Chocolate bar - £1

    Lunch to work no 4

I have tracked my food but have to throw in the towel with sweet treats - I am all or nothing - I have to go nothing and eating too many sweet treats gives me a raging headache, its a no brainer.

Anyway, it was parents evening tonight they are both doing well it was so nice to hear. My oldest DDs teacher said she wished she had a classroom full of DD, she is polite, kind, helpful and tries so hard at everything, I got quite emotional. So proud of them both :-) Can't ask for anything more.

Ran out of fruit, bread, milk and some toiletries my mum got me them today but have taken them out of the grocery budget.

Need to sort out my money for the month and transfer into savings - transferred £20 to emergency fund savings not a lot but its a start - £25.19.

    Take care
