  • Hello Wednesday

After a rubbish sleep last night with the dog getting me up 3 times during the early hours it resulted in sleeping in and a mad rush this morning and had to buy lunch. We have also nearly ran out of shower gel, shampoo conditioner so was a spend day for me:

    Lunch £4.50
    Shampoo and Conditioner £2
    Shower gel £1
Painkillers (rotten head all day) £1

I went to bums legs and tums tonight nearly cancelled but glad I didn’t feel better for it.

Need to track my food for the day so will do it here :

    Breakfast - porridge
Lunch - jacket potato cheese, coleslaw and a topic
    Dinner - cheese sandwich
    Snacks - apple and crisps

Off to record my spending in my book

    Have a lovely evening

Morning NMC :) Hope you had a better nights sleep. If our dogs do that after 2 trips up and down stairs I get my head down on the couch as rolling off there doesn't seem quite as bad as having to get out of a warm bed :rotfl:

Hope you're feeling back in the MSE zone :) Have a lovely day. xx
  • Hi Tea,

A better night thanks, its like having a newborn again !!!! I did contemplate just sleeping on the couch no work tomorrow so if it happens again I will probably do it so OH can sleep.

Have a lovely day too xxx

  • Hello Thursday

Work done for another week. Just popping on whilst the girls tea is in the oven and then its rainbows and brownies night.

Finances checked and all in order - could do with more ££££ but thats my own fault.

Another NSD today - hoping for the same tomorrow too we have food and don't need anything. I will withdraw some money for the weekend and for a birthday present tomorrow. Few errands to run tomorrow after school run and then back home to clean and iron ready for the weekend.

    Breakfast: Eggs, beans on toast
Lunch - Pasta (left over from last nights tea - go me !!)
Dinner - cheese sandwich (I am not too hungry)
    Snacks - crisps and cornetto

Will do a chilli for OH and then we can have leftovers for tomorrows tea.

Not very WW but I am eating what we have in so trying to mitigate with walking and exercise.

    Enjoy the rest of Thursday
    Best wishes

  • Hello Monday evening.......

The weekend went so quick had a lovely weekend although rather spendy but fun and enjoyed too many drinks and lots of food.

Yesterday, some low life decided it would be really hilarious to drive through a massive puddle whilst we were walking to a party. Luckily I got the brunt of it, I had to go home, every single item of clothing and my shoes were drenched, my phone was in my back pocket and guess what !! its not working now. Trying every way to dry it out!!

The kind owner of a local shop saw what happened and got the car registration plate so I have reported it. I apologised as I don't want to waste time and be petty, they have enough on and did say if its not worth reporting that is fine completely understand. I was just so cross they thought it was funny to do it to young children, its the inconvenience and potential expense too - my phone has everything on it and I don't have the money to replace it.

    Saturday spends:
    Aldi - £4.18
    Home Bargs - £8.88
    Drinks at Spa - £28.05

    Sunday
    McD's - £15.16

    Monday
    Lunch - £4.39
    Scone - £1.00

Tomorrow will be a spend day too but then I want to go for a NSD on Wed, Thurs and Fri this week.

8 sleeps until payday :-) Its been a long month

    Best wishes

  • Hello Friday

Phone still not working looks like this is going to cost. However had a couple of NSD's and took a jacket potato with salad for lunch to work yesterday.

I am planning on having a quiet and spend free(ish) weekend. Would actually like to get to payday on Tuesday with some money left but whatever I do have left will have to go towards a new phone but need to work out my options and what is more cost effective.

    Best wishes

Hi NMC :) What an absolute idiot. You did the right thing reporting it and I think it could be an offence. I know for a fact my niece failed her driving test for doing the same thing - although obviously she didn't do it on purpose and wouldn't have been speeding.

The only tip I know for drying phones is to stick it in rice but I think it's an urban myth and doesn't really work. Hope you manage to get a new one. So irritating. xx

Thanks Tea xxx I know, its the inconvenience and added expense I was so cross and I was with my girls too.

Well after a few failed attempts at drying it out we did the rice in bag method - however, my mum bless her thought I told her to put it in rice, in a bag then in the freezer - so can safely say after 7 hours in a freezer it is beyond repair and I haven't covered it on my house insurance.

Not a NSD but a small one, my new phone is coming today, so I have ordered a phone cover for £3.89.

OH is staying out tonight after a night out with work - so I won't be going to WW tomorrow going to try to go for weigh in though and can take the girls.

Had a few days of feeling blue and teary I just don't know why either, to the point I don't want to go to work, exercise, not eating properly felt so tired I could of quite easily gone to bed and sleep for a week. Wednesday and Thursday were not great days . So to avoid me spending the next 5 hours on the sofa I have wrote a "to do list" for the weekend to get through, like my head it is no particular order !!

    1. Wash up breakfast things
    2. Change oldest bedding
    3. Take sponsor money to Hospice
    4. Clean bathrooms
    5. Clean bedrooms
    6. Clean kitchen
    7. Change my bedding
    8. Ironing
    9. Meal planning (Sunday to Saturday)
    10. Food shop (Sunday)
    11. Wash my bedding
    12. Wash oldest bedding
    13. Wash dog blankets
    14. Short small change and bag up where possible
    15. List things on F£ceb$$k to sell
    16. Go for a walk
    17. Enjoy the steady weekend with my girls
    18. Defrost Freezer

I have £60 for the weeks grocery shop for the week ahead this will be a challenge for me need to check freezer and cupboards, I am also quite happy to walk around the supermarket with a calculator :-)

Found £4.20 down the sofa so will put that into the small change pot.

I have £18.72 left in my bank account (not including weekly shop), £25.00 in my purse. I have an appointment today to do a travel survey and will receive £5 voucher for my time, they have already sent a book of first class stamps so that will come in handy.

Better get this show on the road.

    Take care

Morning NMC :) In the freezer  On the plus side keep telling yourself that the rice thing probably wouldn't have worked anyway. :o

Sorry to hear you're feeling down. Sometimes these things happen for no real reason and we just have to ride it out. That's a long list of things to do. I hope you're not going to feel worse if you don't manage to cross everything off it :o

The weather probably isn't helping either. Constant rain is no fun at all. I hope you manage to get out for your walk, a bit of fresh air always works wonders for me.

Have a lovely weekend and look after yourself. xx
