Thanks so much for doing the chart Trix-a-belle, it’s hugely motivating. I’m really happy I hit my target, now to re-adjust what I’m aiming to get to by the end of the challenge as I may have aimed too low having never overpaid before. I didn’t realise what a big difference the overpayments would make. I’m so glad I joined this.“Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming” 🐠https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6098084/discount-duck-s-quest-for-mortgage-freedom#latest5

Hi trix-a-belle, sorry I have been away from the forum for a little while but have updated the charts as to my current position. I know I will be in the red but being a bit cautious with what's going on. It's going to a challenge but I think I will be able to do it01.05.2019 - Re-Mortgage - £142,000 :eek::eek: Total overpaid to date: £15,584.33.

Someone else that has been away for a bit, I will update now. I may reduce my target so I can invest a bit more.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off3

Just bumping as it's nearly time for the next update.
I can't update my total just yet, but I expect to stay just under target (yellow). We have put the shortfall in savings instead of overpaying the mortgage. It feels safer to have in savings for us at the minute with me undergoing a restructure at work and hubby having a tough time at work.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 - £0.31 (started new mortgage)
% of house owned/% of mortgage paid off. December 23 - 32.30%/24.54%
