    Thank you trix-a-belle!

Darn it, I'm still yellow!! Only £289 short now though, rather than (I think) almost £700 last time. It should sort itself out - I've upped our DD again this month (but it's only had one month of the big increase) - we're now overpaying £380 a month so that should make a big difference. And in January I'm going to up it again so we're OPing £580 a month :open_mouth: so if I'm not green next time I'll be most cross! :joy:

Some excellent numbers on that chart! Love having the focus of this challenge xx

I'm yellow too, but only £248 of the pace. I have more than that in savings, so can pay it off if everything works itself out job wise. Tbh, I think if everyone manages to just make basic payments the way the world is at the minute they are doing well so I'm not too worried.
That said I've had this overwhelming sense of I should do more in terms of the finances. I'm not really sure what, but I think I'm just being impatient.
Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
    % of house owned/% of mortgage paid off. July 25 - 38.82%/31.66%

I get this all the time but I can't get my bills much lower so I am trying to be happy with what I am doing!

    MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

  • Ooh, I can't believe I'm still green!  I really expected to slip into yellow this time, have been concentrating on adding bits to savings instead.  I technically have enough in savings to pay off the last bit if I wanted to... but right now I'm more comfortable having the savings as a buffer.  I will continue to chuck what I can spare at it, every little really does help!
    Thanks trix-a-belle!

    January 2019: £19620 ~ November 2021: £0.00!
  • Updated the spreadsheet this morning - I slipped in to red in the last update because I was worried about job security but I am lucky that it has all worked out okay.  I saved what I would have overpayed and then when I felt okay, I then payed this off the mortgage.  Hoping to be in the orange this time!
Thanks for doing this challenge trix!
