Update sent, and yet again I've asked the building society if we're ever going to be able to check balances other than by ringing up and speaking to someone Got very excited when the woman said yes! I can use online banking! I queried as it's never been available for mortgages, but she said yes (but it's very basic) - however it won't actually let me register with a mortgage account number, so it seems she was mistaken... Sigh. And they only give the balance rounded to the nearest hundred (but that was close enough to what my own spreadsheet said that I'm going with the exact number this time)
Hey ho. Only £194,734 to go...

MFW start: April 2018, £201,800
Mortgage neutral: September 2022, mortgage redeemed: December 2022

Thanks so much for this Trix, and I'm back in the green - woop woop!! I've been in the yellow for the last few quarterly update, so was making decent overpayments but not quite enough to hit my three year goal. This month I had a large lump sum income (£600ish) that I was able to throw at the mortgage in addition to my normal overpayments. Now I'm at 51.2% (green is 50%+) so that should hopefully give me a bit of wiggle room going forward.MFW2023 challenge #99: £1090.11 / £1,000 MFiT-T6 (Jan 2022 - Jan 2025) challenge #99: Reduce mortgage to £400,000.
